Does The Job
Updated review: Not much time has passed since the original review but what has become clear is that these bags are more durable than they look. I added an extra star as these are stiff enough to stay open, a feature missing from the bag they replaced. These are by no means heavy-duty but seem to be of serviceable thickness. Only time (and an updated review) will tell.

The size and durability of bags are important for use.
Study bags, size is perfect for spring ice tea drinks and keeps us stocked up in deep freezer.

Great for bagging our ice
Bags are a little thin but seem to work great for our ice.

Every single bag so far has busted…..waste of money…please read….
I am 50 years old and this is at most the second review I have ever written. Had ice bags previously bought from amazon and were great. Asked my wife to get more when we ran out and she bought these. EVERY bag so far has completely busted and fell apart when trying to break up the ice to distribute from bag to cooler or anything thing else. They bust from the top just trying to grab them out of the freezer, they bust from the bottom when attempting to break up ice in the bag, they bust from the sides when trying to get the ice out of the bag. I threw all of the unused ones away just now. Hope this saves many others the frustration………

Reusable but super thin!
Love the draw string, but the bags are super thin. I have a counter ice maker and get the bags in and out of the freezer all day long until they’re full, some the draw string rips preventing you from filling the bag, sometimes they get holes in the side. Still usable, but once you dump the ice in a cooler, not really reusable for a second round of ice collecting. I’ve used 5 bags and have had 2 that I had to throw away. Do not truly as reusable as you’d think, hope or like!

Saving Big Money vs. Bagged Ice
I live in South Florida and between being an avid fisherman and dealing with frequent power outages from hurricanes and tropical storms, it's always good to have ice on-hand. A couple of months ago, I picked up two 7 lb. bags of ice and it cost $7. That's $0.50/lb for ice! At that time, I did an Amazon search for "Ice Bags" and found these babies. I just fill them a little at-a-time with the ice maker and leave the bag in the kitchen freezer until full, then I move them to a garage freezer for storage until needed. Now, I'm saving $7 every time I go fishing! They seem sturdy and the drawstring is a convenient way to close and easily re-open the bags. I will definitely be keeping a supply of these always on-hand.
