I love this stuff! I'm currently recovering from very brittle and damaged nails due to improper gel removal, and this has been a lifesaver! I put three coats on and then reapply as needed throughout the week. They help prevent my soft nails from chipping and also give them more strength. I really like the shine as well, because it makes me feel more put together due to the little oomph it adds to my nailbed. The consistency of the polish is pretty good. I do notice that it dries very quickly so to keep the bottle from being stuck, you should soak a cotton pad in acetone and wipe the mouth of the bottle once in a while to get the dried gunk off.

Made my nails stronger for sure. Just as good as going to a salon and saves so much money.

I’m on day 8 and only now began sort of chipping at the edges, but it’s because I didn’t create a proper seal.I put on this base coat last Monday. Then the following Wednesday I layered on a French tip of Revlon Ultra HD Snap in white + Walmart’s cheap “ICE” Polish in a milky sheer pink + Sally Hansen Top Coat Double Duty. That turned out okay. Then the following Friday I layered this on again and with Essie’s Gel Couture top coat. Today is Friday, day 8, I do lots of dishes and is still looking fairly decent. My nails are starting to grow out neatly from under the nail beds. I highly highly recommend.I think the game changer is the combo of OPI base bottle + Essie’s Gel Couture top coat.Feels like I had them professionally done.

This is a nice product. However, it chips away quicker than 2 days.

Great base coat,dries fast

I have been using OPI for decades and this is by far one of my favorites! Not only is it used for a base, but also as a shiny topcoat. The bonus is that if you are using it as a base and decide to use a bright color, for example, red. Your toes or fingers will not be stained as this product protects the nail from being stained and helps make your nails strong by protecting them. The smell of the nail polish is minimal, goes on smooth. I would highly recommend this product, you can't go wrong with OPI.

The OPI Natural Nail Base Coat caught my eye as I was looking for a good quality base coat to add to my nail care routine. Its reputation for providing a nice foundation for nail polish made it a must-try. Upon using it, I immediately appreciated its thin consistency, which made application smooth and easy without any goopiness. It lays down a nice base, ensuring that the color polish that goes on top looks even and adheres well.However, there are a couple of drawbacks. The brush design is somewhat flawed; it doesn't reach all the way down to the bottom of the bottle. This means those last few drops, which you're essentially paying for, become frustratingly unreachable as you near the end. Additionally, the cost factor is a bit puzzling. Lacquer polish, including this OPI base coat, tends to be pricier than gel polish. I've found sets of gel polish for less than the price of one bottle of this lacquer base coat, which makes me question the pricing strategy. Despite its high quality, the value proposition becomes a bit skewed when you consider the cost and the design oversight with the brush.In summary, the OPI Natural Nail Base Coat serves its purpose well with a few caveats. If you're willing to overlook the brush issue and are okay with the higher price point compared to gel options, it's a solid choice for ensuring your nail polish looks its best.
