The top is glass. It can be knocked off the base easily. The timer works really well. They look better online than in person. I rarely use them and would not order again.

Hab lange überlegt,ich hatte bedenken das die Lichter eventuell kaputt ankommen. Aber ich kann jeden beruhigen, sie sind so gut verpackt da muss schon ganz viel passieren das sie kaputt gehen. Die Lichter sind absolut so wie sie auf den Abbildungen zu sehen sind. Es hat sich in jedem Fall gelohnt das ich sie gekauft hab.

This product looked cheap, I would have liked to use them on my dining room table.

The media could not be loaded.  Cute Set of 3 Cylinder Lanterns with Fairy Lights with differnt size.the removable glass cylinder lantern made from plastic and contain strand of fairy lights with 12 LED whihc is fixed to the base.those cylinders are 3 x AAA batteries which is not included.I didn't like the batteries opertation which could be improved by adding a rechargable battry.Overall, the set is securly packed and good value for money!

I really love these little glass lights, they do look VERY pretty and feel really high quality. However, they require 3 AAA batteries EACH, which are not included...considering the price I would have the first set included. You are best off using rechargeable ones in my opinion, or you will end up spending a lot of money. I would also recommend either only using them sparingly, or using the timer function. I do wish they came with a built in rechargeable battery, where you could just charge the base. For the price tag I would have expected this!The glass does look pretty, but this is quite easy to knock off and doesn't fix to the base. So you'll want to place these somewhere little hands or pets can't knock them around...I'm envisioning a cat enjoying smacking this and the glass going smash!You'll have to pull the string lights and position them properly when you first get them, this is a tad fiddly. I also had to then wipe the glass because my fingerprints were everywhere lol, I'll probably have to do this every time I change the batteries...bit annoying.Overall they are lovely, and I do love any lights that don't require mains electricity...but they are quite expensive for some battery powered lights.
