200W GaN Charger

This is my go-to charger for travel. It comes with me on every trip and provides charging for everyone that is with me. Since everything is moving towards usb-c, it is compatible with almost everything. The size of this is small enough to fit in my travel backpack. It is a fantastic charging station for the money.

I have bought a second one of these. My first one works great, I just left it at my house in the Philippines. The one there gets a lot of abuse, it has been left on an open terrace for about 6 months now, and it is in almost constant use, all kinds of phones and devices all day long, and it still holds up like a champ. So when I needed more charging ports here in the house, I naturally got another one of these. And this one is used a bit gentler, but still powers up whatever I need whenever I need it, and does it quick. Great little charger, for home or travel use, I would highly recommend this.

I have been looking for a high powered charger that is only usb-c. Too many chargers still include the usb-a which I'm trying to phase out. The block is a little large and heavy, but considering the charging power it has, it's still really handy. I can plug in my Macbook, multiple iPads and my phone and still have outlets to share with others. The build quality is really solid and good quality. Because of the large amount of watts it powers, you can charge at max speed. This is my go-to charger.

I literally power my entire desk of devices: A laptop, two tablets, a phone, and charging stands for my watch and headphones - minus my monitor - on this one single power supply. Good consistent power and plenty of it if you use USB-C devices or have the right adapters/cables.

UPDATE 2023-06-02 ------------------------ Satechi customer service came through with a replacement unit that seems to work fine so far (the first one worked great for several months). Hopefully I don't experience the same (startling) failure as the first. I was hoping they'd let me know what happened to the first unit, but I doubt they will tell me anything. It *is* my favorite desk charger to date. ORIGINAL REVIEW 2023-05-19 ------------------------------------ Bought this in December 2022 and have been using it daily to charge a JBL Extreme, JBL Flip 6, iPad Pro 12.9, iPhone SE 3rd, and an Apple Watch S8. This was sitting in front of me while I was at my desk. I had an OWC TB4 cable plugged in to the bottom port, but no device attached. It literally went up in smoke right in front of me just moments ago. It sparked, smoked, and buzzed. I unplugged the power cable immediately. It stinks in here now. I suppose its possible it was the USB-C cable, but why would it be sending power through the cable with nothing attached?

Bought four they all died with the first 12 months. Common failure points: #1 overheated #2 front plate felt off #3 stopped charging, PD was in a constant reset cycle #4 just stopped working For the price, it is piece of junk.

Well built, attractive, and lots of power, seems as advertised (but I have not measured).
