Bell System 801 Door Entry Handset - White

Great intercom handset just look online for wiring too replace other models and 5 too 10 min all up and running . It’s my 3rd or fourth I have replaced and it has a high and low ring jumper inside thanks gary

Bought to replace old intercom that began to be faulty and a eyesore. This was good value for money and modern, it was very easy to set up using a reviewers images even though different colour wires . Good adjustable sound quality. Pleased with the purchase.

I've purchased 4 of these over the last year for use with a 4 way BELLINI Audio Door Entry System on my house. They are good quality, solid and work well. If you are replacing an older intercom phone I suggest taking a photo of the cables before you remove the old one so you know exactly where they need to go on this one. One smart feature is the door release button is located under the phone, so you can't accidently unlock the door by knocking into it. Recommended.

Installed it wire for wire. It’s a good replacement and it saved me a lot of money getting a professional contractor out to sort the old phone. Fairly easy to do. Just take a photograph of the wiring before you begin.

Straight out of the box drilled 4 holes in wall to secure it and rewired using original wires to comand point, eg door entry button push outside, oh and its loud, a lovely thing.

This is a door entry handset. Nothing more. Nothing less. It's made of hard white plastic and looks fine. It came in a box with nothing. No instructions or support to suggest which wire should go where. A bit of googling and a sharpie solved this problem, but it's fairly shoddy to not even tell you what terminal is for what! It is cheap, and seems quite hard wearing, so I think it will last a good few years, and it's much nicer than the unit I replaced. No real complaints, but don't expect much, and be ready to google the wiring requirements!

Replaced our old yellow discoloured intercom with this super white replacement. Would of been chuffed with just that but got a great surprise when it rang to find it had a 100% better “bring bring “ sound instead off a nasty buzzer . Please do your research first for installation to save any frustrations. My old intercom had 8 cores while the 801 has 5 . Very easy install and I’ve waited a couple of months just to make sure it works reliably

Bought as a direct replacement for a Bell 801 from about 1989. I was able to fit it in about 15 mins (I'm a competent DIYer but never done one of these before). If you're buying as a replacement it's dead easy because the connections are identical. The "bell" sound is a chirp similar to a modern telephone and much more pleasant than the old harsh buzz. It's loud enough for me to hear two rooms away. It's not the most modern looking design compared with many I've seen, (therefore 4 stars) but it's bright gloss white and looks a LOT better than the old yellowed one it's replacing. The main reason I went for it is ease of fitting. Not sure if it helps anyone, but the terminals are labelled 1 R O T Z. No instructions are supplied, but frankly you don't need them if you are replacing your old Bell 801. Just take a photo on your phone before you take the old one off and put the wires in the same places on the new ones.
