Fav - best shapewear there is in my opinion. Comfortable, smoothing, tummy control is perfect (I can sit and breath but feel it’s a firm fit). Also love the slick texture- I can usually skip a slip and never causes chafing or irritation. And not to snug on the thighs that you have a bulging effect that shows with slacks.

My wife wanted me to order these Spanx Thinstincts shorts for her. She primarily wanted something to wear that would give her a touch of tummy control (her words, not mine). Although I personally have never heard of the Spanx name, she had, and knew them to be a top name in "shapewear". When they arrived at our home and she tried them on it was confirmed that the tummy control was indeed excellent! However, not all was ideal, as she couldn't stop the fabric on the legs from rolling up which made the shorts very uncomfortable to wear. She said that in retrospect she probably should have ordered up one size, because besides the leg thing they really did what they are supposed to do: provide excellent shaping for the tummy and hips. She won't be able to wear them now, but she has been losing weight so maybe someday soon! I hope so, because she really loved them otherwise and commented on how well-made they are. True quality!

I’m really disappointed with these shaping shorts. They constantly roll up and bunch, which makes them extremely uncomfortable to wear. After a short time, they start riding up so much that it actually becomes painful. Definitely not something I can wear for more than a few minutes. I wouldn’t recommend them.

These shorts roll up your leg and are cut small. I suggest you size up. I normally wear large but had to exchange for extra large and they still roll up my leg. The fit and the compression is great. But unfortunately I will return.

Being new to Spanx, I wasn’t really sure what to expect, beyond a smoothing foundation that would hopefully hold me in. These shorts do provide some support and do reduce some jiggles and lumps. The fabric is silky with a good deal of stretch, so clothing skims over these with ease. I find these shorts to be a bit sheer: freckles, tattoos and skin discolorations are easily spotted through the fabric. The waistband rolls on these, mostly in the back and I found myself tugging at them to keep adjusting the folded-over band. While my front felt sufficiently held in, I was very conscious of my back and the bulging above the waistband. A garment like this would better suit me if the rise was higher; that would help alleviate that pesky, unsightly lumpiness. Overall, these will do the job, but to spend $52 for shaping undies, I’d expect a better fit.

I am a size 6 in fine clothes, but after having three children and three C-sections, I have a little pouch that I cannot get rid of near my C-section line. I usually wear tighter underwear so you can’t tell and because I’m thin, you can’t really notice it. But, most importantly, I notice it! I do not like tight things on my body, so I never tried a pair of Spanks until this. I did get a very large size because I was afraid of being suffocated, never have owned any sort of shape wear. So you could see what an XL size looks like, I put a tablespoon across the front of the second picture. Now, I can honestly say I can see why people wear them! It was like having a tummy tuck without going through the pain. (My husband says I’m beautiful and I do not need a tummy tuck. He’s so cute) I am sure I could’ve bought a medium, but I was so afraid to try them as I mentioned above because of being sucked in so much. They’re not uncomfortable and I thought they would be. I am going to get another pair in my size. Fabulous product!!!
