EKANordic W12 Fixed Blade Hunting Knife Bubinga Wood Handles

Love the way it fits my hand and stays sharp with just a minor touch up. Sheath is good but feels not as tight in locking the blade in place.

Great knife. More than I expected.

this is an awesome bushcraft knife.This knife is made from Sandvik stainless steel. The length of the blade; hmmm. Amazon says it is 4.33 inches in my measurements I got a full 4.5 inches. The blade at the spine is 5/32 or 3-16 inches thick. It has a full tang but not a full width tang. The tang only goes through the top half of handle.The knife comes with a Kydex sheath that fits ok but rattle a bit in the sheath. On the real Kydex sheath is a 3/16 or 1/4 inch thick ferro rod. On the other end of the ferro rod is a carbide knife sharpener.The handle is wood and is checkered to prevent slipping in your hand.The handle is a tad large for my hands but not uncomfortable. I like the shape of the handle where the index finger goes lower than the other fingers giving you a solid grip.The knife has the Scandi grind the Scandi grind is the BEST grind for processing wood.The tang is exposed at the back of the handle and has a lanyard hole.In a scale of 5 stars I would give this knife 4 1/2 out of 5.Only removing 1/2, a star because the tang is not the full width of the handle and the the handle is a bit too big for my hands.

Schade, die Griffschalen sind nicht aus Bubingaholz, sondern aus billigem Kunststoffmaterial. Warum baut der renommierte nordische Hersteller keine Messer mehr mit Maserbirke, wie es früher für seine Scandi-Messer typisch war.Ansonsten ein sehr brauchbares, scharfes und robustes Outdoormesser. Der Klingenstahl ist gut. Die Messerscheide ist ebenfalls sehr hässlich, eine Lederscheide wäre sehr viel schöner. Der beiliegende Feuerstahl ist sehr dünn und schlecht befestigt.
