There are two things wrong with this device. First, after a day or two it totally failed to hold the phone on the device. Secondly, it is so finicky about the placement of iphone for charging that it is far easier to plug in a cord then spend 4 or 5 minutes trying to find the happy spot so it will charge. It looks nice but when it comes to functionally it is a bust.

Bought 2. They both worked great for 10 months. Then they started overheating. Will make your phone beep every 15 seconds to let you know it stopped charging. Still holds the phone well.

Stop sticking and won’t hold phone after a few weeks.

The item is well made and very attractive. Unfortunately, the original listing did not make it clear that this does NOT hold the phone magnetically. The magnet holds the base together, but the phone itself is held using "nano-suction". This did not work well with my textured phone case so I sadly could not use it. Bummer. Nevertheless, the company was VERY professional and responsive, allowing me to return the item and quickly amending the listing to clear up misconceptions. I gave it four stars mostly because the product is well made and customer service was stellar.

It does not charge my Galaxy S8 at all!
