This replaced my old original 2005 one. It fits and was easy to put on.

Needed a new tether for my 2009 VW Beetle's gas cap. This eMagTech Fuel Tank Cap Rope Replacement did not specifically state it would fit, but the measurements looked about right so I rolled the dice. It worked!! It seems the tether itself is roughly 2 inches shorter than the OEM in my application, but it's possible my original had stretched some over time. I did not use the entire piece sent. I popped the two pins out of the ring securing the tether on the new one and swapped the new tether onto the old gas cap. The new tether fit perfectly and although shorter, it works just fine. The new tether is thicker than the OEM part and being new, it's soft and pliable. I expect it to last at least as long as the OEM part. Great product!!

Perfect replacement fit for our 2004 VW Touareg. Easy to install and much cheaper than replacing the entire cap/lanyard assembly. A big plus is not having to worry if the cap will fit or trigger a Service Engine code/light.

Perfect fit for my Bentley and Ferrari. I measured carefully before ordering and matched to an Audi part. Appears that these fit several European cars. We also have 2 other European cars and they appear the same. Completely satisfied.

Used on a Audi Q5. Hard to take off the ring so I just popped out the pins and replaced the broken rubber tether and popped the pins back in.

Pull old one off, puch this one on both ends. Perfectly esy, Plug & Play.
