TIANA Fairtrade Organic Virgin Coconut Oil, Odourless Cooking Butter 500ml

I use this as a cooking oil, due to it's high smoke point - coconut oil is highly resistant to oxidation, so is a really great oil for frying. I personally don't like the taste of coconut or normal coconut oil, so I use this coconut butter as you get the benefits of the coconut oil without the coconut smell or taste. Because it's tasteless, I use it for everything - frying eggs, vegetables, stir fries, onions etc., without worrying that my food will taste like coconuts. I even spoon it on a whole chicken when doing a roast dinner. I've been using this brand for years and it's always great quality. Coconut oil/butter is solid at room temperature, but when it's warmer, it melts and is a liquid...during the colder months, just spoon it out as a solid oil and it will melt in the pan. I find it less messy when it's solid, as it's easier to spoon a chunk out than when it's liquid. You only need a little bit, so this jar lasts ages - it's also great it's in a glass container instead of plastic so it's better environmentally too.

This is really good for cooking, it seems to have all the benefits of coconut oil, but without the smell or taste of coconut. This makes it ideal for general frying purposes, especially good with fish or steak, where you want to maximise the flavour of the food - not the oil!I see that a mionority of other reviewers (for the 750g size) were confused by the word 'butter' in the name of the product. I'm guessing that the manufacturer is trying to show that this is a unique coconut product that is specifically for cooking.Would recommend and use again.

Like that it is oudourless and tasreless, you can't taste the coconut.

Absolutely fabulous product. The highest of the highest quality, fresh - in date until the end of next year, and is completely odourless. I just ordered the larger jar!
