Q: how firm are these pillows?

They are on the softer side, rather than firm, but they are not "mushy". I find them to be very comfortable to sleep on.

Q: How tall is this pillow. My pillow now is 2.5". Looking for the same?

The gusset is 2.5" but with the puff of the pillow it is about 3.5".

Q: How many inches thick is it?

My opinion: About 10 inches I think. Soft enough to cradle head & support neck.
