Great Christmas present
The media could not be loaded. This set was such a good gift for my 10 year old daughter. She enjoyed this very much and it was great quality, easy to play with and great value for money. I absolutely recommend this!

My nephew loves this!
I got this for my nephew as he's into all things robots and transformers so I thought this would be perfect for him.Part of the joy of these kits is the sense of achievement of building it rather than just being handed a toy in a box and I think the age range this is targeted at is just about right. My nephew loved putting this together, I did have to help on a couple of areas but for the most part he did it all himself - he's aged 8.Once built the robot is a little smaller than expected and it only has limited functionality, controllable via a mobile app or a remote control so I don't think this is a long term toy (are any of them nowadays?) but this kept him occupied for quite a while and it's now taken pride of place in his bedroom.

Bought it for my son’s 9th birthday 🥳
I bought it for my son’s 9th birthday. He liked it so much.He said it was easy to built and fun to play with it. It works with app as well. The only part the app text is in Chinese.Would have been better if in English as well.

Well that took some doing
Oh my that took some building. My 11 year old and 8 year old gave up almost straight away when they couldn't find the pieces as no bag numbers. Once finally built it's amusing with remote control or app functions that's so so. The boys like the remote control option though to steer the robot.

A great gift for our 9 yr old grandson
A great gift for our 9yr old grandson. He enjoyed putting the kit together as he is a keen Lego fan. The tracks help manoeuvre over carpet/ had floor boundaries.

Nice set, just not very secure
My 7 year old daughter loves crafting and building blocks, so I thought this robot set would be a great idea.It comes as a set with a remote control feature that can be controlled by the remote or via an app.It took a while to complete the build. The instructions were ok, however we felt that some of the colours were a bit uncertain in the pictures, which lead to slight confusion. We also felt that some of the mechanical joints were not very strong. The blocks went together fairly weel, however the design of the robot meant that some areas were very fragile as they were only held on by one or two studs. This lead to occasionally having to reset parts if my daughter pushed too hard when assembling it and the section detached. On the whole the set isn't too bad, the only sticking point is the price. I don't feel that it is necessarily worth the £35 at time of review.

Good value, fun to build and fun to play with
Everything was well packed, and the motor brick (already charged) was packed in a protective bubble envelope. The remote control needs 2 AAA batteries (not included) - and it comes with a small screwdriver to unscrew the cross-head screw holding the battery cover in place. The instructions were clear, and my 8-year old boy followed them easily with no help from me. There are three bags labeled "1" and three bags labeled "2" - not the same as other manufacturers but it really wasn't hard to just tip all the pieces from the three different Bag 1s into the box and go from there. The bricks are of a good enough quality and tight enough tolerance to fit together firmly together with no play between elements. They seem to be fully compatible with "other brands" of children's blocks. There's a downloadable app for controlling the robot - if you're using an iPhone be sure to give the program (Mould King) permission to use Bluetooth or you won't be able to link the phone with the robot. This robot uses the series 3 power/motor block, and I selected AIMubots as the product type for calibrating the controls. The app proved to be a big hit with my son - he was already thrilled with the remote (his comment when we got the tracks on and got the robot moving was "Awesome!!") but the app really engaged him and had him playing till my phone was pretty much out of battery. One of the functions allows you to a program a route into the robot using icons for directions and that was pretty cool. The robot did track to the left at first, caused by a tighter feel to the chainlink mechanism than on the right. I loosened the gears a little on one side and made sure everything was in line and moving freely, and that straightened out the tracking.Overall, I was really pleased with this purchase and my son was thrilled.

Really cool for the young (and old) Lego/builder enthusiast!
Our son (6yr old) really enjoyed building this over the course of a few days (with help from Daddy). It’s challenging (in a good way) and the most exciting part for the guys was making the track. Our son said “there was 100 pieces and look how we made it onto ONE!” This is exciting too because the remote control makes the robot move. It moves left/right, and back/forth. The controls are not designed to move the arms or head, but you can move them manually to play with the robot. Our son has played with it many times since building it. I was surprised with the size. It’s bigger and more robust than I thought it would be. I would totally recommend this for a family that loves building together. It’s slightly advanced, so I imagine your child would need help. My son’s quote is “it’s very, very cool. It’s a robot that is actually a real robot” (meaning, it moves) :)
