Why spend more?
This one really does the job SO why spend more on more complicated ones where you are likely to lose different parts?

Not Easy to Change Harps.
The holder is well made and constructed, but two disappointments:- (1) The Lee Oscar logo is just a "stick on" transfer, not the engraved/pressing quality of a Lee Oscar Harp. (2) Changing Harps whilst wearing the holder is not easy, the design holds the harp horizontally and depth rigidly, but the springs to hold the harp vertically are too strong. I accept the harp must be held rigid whist playing, but I felt that the compression on the springs could have been weaker to accommodate quick harp changes.

Nice fit, works great.
I'm a serious guitar player and dabble with the harmonica. I had the Dunlop holder and another no-name holder and the Lee Oskar beats the both by a mile. I'm 5'9 average male and this one fits me perfectly. A little bit tricky to get harmonica in and out but no big deal. Looks good, very simple construction, not too heavy but does a good job of staying put. I'd say if you're looking for holder this would be a great one to try out first. I probably would have played more (and will play more) if I had bought this one sooner. Fits my Honer blues harps just fine.

Sits at the right position
Like just about every harmonica holder, the bolts strip out in time and it seems the replacements come from another planet. For around 40 bucks, after tax, one might expect more clever engineering. On a positive note, it's the best I've used, in so far as it sits in the best position for playing so you don't have to sing through it... just a slight nod downward and it's there.

This is the one you want
After extensive research, this harp holder is the best thing out there. I have the Hohner 154 holder which I don't like because the harp slides too far back in the holder, giving minimum reveal to the mouth for the harp (the holes of the harp are about even with the brackets holding it making it hard to get a good seal with the lips). The Lee Oskar holder has an "L" shaped profile on the lower bracket which keeps the harp in the perfect position relative to the holder. Secondly, the design is simple with minimal parts to add weight, complexity and points of failure. Finally, the price is very reasonable for an excellent product that does the job perfectly. Incidentally, I found a picture of Bob Dylan from the sixties wearing what appears to be this exact holder. If anyone knows harp holders, it's Dylan.
