is this an actually parker pen or is it fake?

Hi. Jotter's dont normally come in a presentation box so i would say their Luxor imports from India. Let me explain. The problem we have with Parker is the market has been flooded by identical pens from an Indian company called Luxor. This company isnt making fakes they are licenced by Parker to make and supply the Asian markets with pens and refills. In the UK you will find they are cheaper to buy but? they are not as well made as the pens Parker make which is in France and sell in UK. To be safe buy the pen in blister pack form which has the Union Jack on the front of the packet these are Parkers.The Kensington Red version is £8.79 on Amazon. Refills always look for the Queens Royal seal symbol on the front of the pack these are again Parker UK. Hope this makes sense and helps

Is the coloured part of the barrel metal or plastic? If plastic has anyone had one crack?

I can confirm that the Parker Jotter Fountain Pen Royal Blue has a stainless steel barrel with blue finish.

Can you add a converter to this?
