Maxima 74920 Chain Wax - 13.5 oz. Aerosol

The application was **easy and smooth**, with great coverage. It doesn’t fling off, and the formula seems to provide a solid protective layer.Of course, **only time will tell** how well it holds up after putting some miles on the bike, but so far, so good. Plus, doing my own chain maintenance is **way easier on the wallet** compared to taking it to the shop.If you’re looking for a **cost-effective and easy-to-use** chain lubricant, this is definitely worth trying!

So I’ve been using PJ1 Blue for at least 4 years and overall it’s a good product, no complaints. But after I watched a video that tested several chain lubricants and after seeing Maxima place well in every category (much better than PJ1), I decided to give it a try.I did the two step process 1) clean with Maxima Chain Cleaner 2) Apply Maxima Chain Wax. Both product worked outstanding!1) Maxima Chain Cleaner - I was warned in the test video that Maxima cleaner can get past o-ring seals and dilute the factory permanent lub therefore I used it sparingly, spraying onto my chain cleaning brush versus spraying directly on the chain. Scrubbed with the brush then flushed with the garden hose afterwards. No mess and cleaned the chain great.2) Maxima Chain Wax - After the chain dried, I applied the wax. This was a little drippy and messy but not as drippy as PJ1 (both are easy to use). I use a plastic bottle cut in half to catch the overspray and dripping product so very little drips on the ground. The Maxima clung-on and dried faster than PJ1 but not by much. I saturated the chain more than I normally do and was pleased to see it stay on the chain and not drip off. The Maxima seemed to penetrate the rollers better than PJ1 but that’s just a guess. So, if the Maxima last 500 miles (like PJ1) it will be a winner. Some reviewers claim it will go 800 miles, time will tell..

First time trying and already impressed. Old chain had some thick oil on it and it made a mess with the fling. I installed a new D.I.D chain and sprockets, wiped down with lamp oil (similar to kerosene) then sprayed the Maxima Chain Wax on per instructions. Easy application. Did a quick wipe and let it sit over night. No fling and no goop. It’s a winner for me.

Maxima 74920 Chain Wax is an outstanding product! It provides superb lubrication and protection, keeping my chain running smoothly for extended periods. I love how it applies evenly and doesn't fling off during rides, even in tough conditions. The 13.5 oz. aerosol can is convenient, and a little goes a long way, making it great value for money.Since using this chain wax, I've noticed less wear on my chain, and it keeps rust and grime at bay. It’s also great for reducing noise and ensuring the chain stays well-protected in all weather. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to extend the life of their chain with minimal hassle!

Works pretty well on the stubborn T8F chain. Some others have destroyed my bearings, not this one. Dries in about 15 minutes. Good value, but I would like a bigger option. Does not clean.
