I use these sacks for wilderness treking/backpacking. They have been to British Columbia, the Sierras, the high Atlas, Norway, Death Valley, AK, etc. The 20L size seems ideal for my backpack because one can stack them fully packed vertically side by side, which helps to pack tight (the next size up is too bulky and I cannot fit anything around it). The lighter versions of this sack (w/o the rubbery straps) are OK, too, but when they are not as abrasion-resistant.

Sea to Summit quality, when stuff need to stay dry
I have been using Sea to Summit dry bags for many years, as they are some of the best dry bags on the market. The Big River bags combine durability, flexibility, light weight, and provide a reliable watertight seal

Kept everything dry under a rushing river for over 20 minutes
I took 5 dry bags of different sizes and brands on a recent canoe trip and this one was BY FAR the best performing of all of them! We flipped hard and had the canoe get stuck under/up against fallen trees three times and didn't get a single drop of water inside of it. One of the flips we had the canoe stuck under a tree for over 20 minutes before we had to saw the branch off completely to get the canoe unstuck! This bag was stuck in incredibly hard rushing water for over 20 minutes. The water so hard you couldn't stand without holding on to branches without being swept away.Had all my electronics, cordage, map, cooking supplies etc. various random stuff and it was all kept dry.The bottom is also pretty durable as I would toss in on gravel bars, rocks, sand multiple times a day for 7 days straight without a single scratch or tear.

Exceeded Expectations
I use this for commuting and I would say that it has exceeded expectations. Keeps everything bone dry. Pretty sturdy. And a lot cheaper than others around the same quality. Might get one with a vacuum valve in the future as I often forget to push out the air before closing.

Does the Job!
I like that this is not too heavy, but reasonably robust.I use this a "pack liner" inside of my backpack, when I go pack rafting. The fit is good, and I have had no water leakage.
