Don’t know. It comes with a battery that lights up the brush, letting the child know how long to brush their teeth. When the battery wears out, the brush is worn and the toothbrush needs to be thrown away. Toothbrushes should typically be replaced every 4-6 months.

3+ years I'd expect. Kids love the suction cup and lights, which helps make teeth brushing more appealing and enjoyable. I believe the light stays on for 1 minute and kids are supposed to continue brushing for 2 minutes, or two light cycles.
