Baby Merlin's (Small, Blue)

Last night I had the best night's sleep I've had in a long time thanks to this product. Since a few weeks old my baby has only slept soundly in someone's arms. The only time she would sleep in her cot was in a sleeping bag and it would only last 30 minutes before she'd wake herself up fidgeting. She has eczema so she would wake up and furiously scratch at herself but after one night in this sleepsuit she slept in her cot for 11 hours, only waking up once to feed. It's a miracle! I've already ordered a second one and I can't rave about this product enough. Pros: Everyone gets some sleep No more fidgeting and fussing Keeps baby at a good temperature She looks like a super cute marshmallow Cons: Takes a long time to dry Have to completely take baby out to change The cons are very minor in comparison to a good night's sleep and I would recommend to any parent struggling to get their little one to sleep.

I was initially a little sceptical about this sleep suit, however had heard some excellent things from other mothers. I had been swaddling my daughter from birth as I found that she was waking very often due to the startle reflex and this was causing us some sleepless nights and was soon eased with swaddling. However, once she learned how to roll, she wouldn't stay in the muslins anymore and I was concerned that she might suffocate on a loose end. The Baby Merlin sleep suit is great, I just put her down with a vest on underneath and the sleep suit is warm and cosy for her so we don't need a blanket on her either. It supports her in a comfortable position and dumbs down that reflex that wakes her often. I remember thinking that the sleep suit was a little pricey, but actually it's worth it's weight in gold. When it goes in the wash (usual washing machine load and then air dried) we notice the difference in her sleeping pattern in just a sleeping sack. This is a great product for transitioning from swaddling.

Arrived very quickly, so well made, i'm very pleased with it. I've put my baby (6 months old) down for a nap in the sleep suit for the first time. She always twitches and jerks herself awake at the 45 minute mark as she transitions from deep sleep to light sleep, and ends up waking up. I've been watching her on the camera and in this sleepsuit, she tried to twitch at 45 minutes but the suit restricted her movements slightly and she went straight back into a deep sleep. She's now been napping over an hour which is almost unheard of. I can't wait to put her to bed in it tonight and see what awaits...fingers crossed it will be a much better nights sleep! Although my baby is 6 months I bought the 3-6 month one as she only weighs 14lbs and this goes up to 18lbs, so I hope it will last her a while. Its thick and will be great for winter. I will be getting another one for when this is in the wash!!! Please note, this suit will not stop your baby waking up if they are hungry, lonely or need a nappy change. Don't expect TOTAL miracles! It will however, help if you have a twisty baby who wakes themselves up with movements in their sleep.

The Baby Merlin's Magic Sleepsuit has been a lifesaver for us. My son broke out of every swaddle we purchased (upwards of 7), but he still had the startle reflex and needed for that to be muffled in order for him to sleep well. I was a little wary about this sleepsuit, because I figured that with his arms not tight to his sides, there was no way he would sleep through the night; boy, was I wrong. After putting my son in this suit, he slept 12 hours straight through the night (at 9 weeks). I've never looked back. This suit allows him a little more freedom of movement, but it thick enough to muffle his startle reflex. I say this is a must have for any baby!

I never ever review products but this is totally different. I had my 3rd baby in august and its been a total nightmare getting him to sleep out of our arms. After watching him i noticed he would startle himself awake constantly if i wasnt holding him. I then decided to try swaddiling, everything. I was constantly sat holding him, the house was a tip, it was to be honest so hard as i felt i had no life. Bought this on a whim as never heard of it. Well this is the 4th day in a row hes slept on his own for up to 4 hours! Its a miracle. Now i have to wake him up! Honestly if your baby wont sleep out if your arms try this, its much better then a swaddle!

Bought this as I've just moved back to the UK from Africa and needed something warm to replace a light sleeping bag I was using. Whilst the sleep suit is not necessarily magical in keeping my baby asleep, it does seem to delay the inevitable wakenings and keeps him cosy and warm and comfortable. It's nicely made and easy to get into and out of (my baby hates things that take too long to get into or out of). Size-wise - he is 4 months old but quite big (8kg) so I bought the 6-9month size and whilst it is a bit big for him yet it is still safe and snug and he now has room to grow into it. Overall am pleased, but as I said - "magic" might be a bit strong :-)

My 4 month old son was reliant on swaddled to sleep, then he started rolling and we struggled to find a way for him to sleep unswaddled. I bought the baby merlin Magic sleepsuit, desperate for a few hours of sleep and it's one of the best baby items I've purchased. Within days he was sleeping much better. The sleepsuit seemed to reduce his startle reflex which meant he stayed asleep when I put him down. He also looked super cute and snuggly like a little blue Michelin man! He's now 6 months and still wearing the suit.

Good quality, our baby is 3 months and it’s snug on him already as he’s quite a big baby, so I think we’ll be moving up in the sizes! Been a massive help throughout leap 4 as our baby has outgrown his “sleepyhead” - because it’s weighted, it offers the same sensation of being cuddled, so he’s now able to take himself off to sleep in the Next 2 Me and is now only waking once during the night!
