Not just for diaper rash, excellent for adult eczema relief
I recently purchased this A&D ointment on Amazon to restock our household supply, as my entire family uses it constantly. A lot of people look at this product and immediately assume it is only for babies and diaper rash, but that couldn't be further from the truth. It has been a trusted staple in our home for years, and we rely on it for a wide variety of everyday skincare needs across all ages. I personally struggle with eczema, and I specifically use this ointment to help manage my flare-ups. Whenever I get those painfully dry, cracked, and itchy patches, rubbing a generous layer of this over the area provides instant, soothing relief. It creates a thick, protective moisture barrier that locks in hydration and helps my skin heal significantly faster than standard, watery daily lotions ever could. Beyond treating my eczema, this is generally just an excellent product for any adult dealing with random skin irritations. I will note that the smell can be a bit too strong for some people at first, but you really do adjust to it quickly, and the healing results are well worth it. It works absolute wonders on workout chafing, minor scrapes, winter windburn, cracked heels, and severely dry hands from overwashing. If you are hesitating to buy this because you don't have an infant, don't let the diaper rash label fool you—this is a heavy-duty, versatile skin healer that every adult should have in their medicine cabinet.

Trusty product
I keep A+D Original Diaper Rash Ointment on hand all the time because it just works. I’ve used it for diaper rash, dry skin, and even small irritations, and it always helps soothe the skin fast. It’s thick, protective, and a little goes a long way. Simple, reliable, and one of those products I always trust to have at home.

Works well
This stuff is amazing! Takes care of any redness on baby's bottom even better than heavier creams, and can be used on cheeks, hands, etc as well.

Great tattoo healing ointment
I’ve use this product for years after getting a tattoo. Artists always recommended it, and my tattoos have healed perfectly with it. Just FYI, there is no difference between the diaper rash ointment and just the vitamin A + D ointment. They’re the exact same ingredients.

Good and affordable.
This product helped a lot to keep the baby's skin from getting irritated and to keep it soft.

By far my favorite diaper rash ointment. It has a good protective barrier. Best when used after every diaper change. Very gentle on the skin

Great for babies
I use this product during diaper changes for my newborn baby. It has a thick consistency and doesn’t leave my hands greasy after use. Has a distinct smell that isn’t bad or overpowering. Whenever we notice any irritation on his bottom or private areas, we apply it, and the redness usually disappears within a day. It also worked well after his circumcision. We applied a grape sized amount to his private area and a generous amount to the diaper covering his private areas to prevent it from sticking to the diaper. He healed without any issues in 7-10 days.

Not Just For Babies
This may sound gross (and it is) but I developed a crotch itch that started because I was taking a lot of Niacin (B vitamin). At first I didn't know why this was happening but then the itch became more generalized - like all over my body. But I thought about what we did with our daughter when she developed a diaper rash - A & D Ointment. So I bought some online. It works pretty well. I've cut way back on the Niacin but I noticed that it worked well on a dry parch of skin on my ankle. And then I started applying it to my varicose veins in my legs. It relieves the itch w/o the drowsiness you get with Benadryl. It's a little on the greasy side but that's far better than itching. I wish I'd have thought about this sooner - especially for my varicose veins.
