Cooks Standard Fixed Pot Rack Solid Cast Pan Hooks, Set of 4

Over the past 4 years I have bought several sets of these hooks. The original 8 hooks were the swivel type, and the last several batches, bringing me to a total of 24, were the fixed hooks shown in this listing. I love them, and I love the fact I can just add some more to my existing pan rack as the need arises.I have switched to preferring the fixed hooks over the swivel hooks, as they suit the needs of my rack better and are more rigid. Both work great, but I realized that I don't need the swivel function that I originally assumed I would.As I said in my original review, you need a 7/16" wide slat for these hooks to fit into, and they have a 1.5-inch diameter top disk. But unlike the swivel type, the fixed hooks don't care how thick your slats are, and can be anything less than 1-3/8" thick. These are a bit expensive at $5 per hook but it's worth it for high quality cast aluminum. There is a bit of a lip down the center where there two halves of the casting mold came together like you can see in the product photos but I can run my fingers over it and it's not sharp enough to cut me at all.

1989 Christmas, Hubby bought me a small one line wooded Pot Hanging Rack with these hooks and the ones that turn. 2023 July I found them on Amazon. YEAH....and I know I have needed them for about 20 years so Happy I found them. Yes this non moving hook fits the Original Set/Kit bought way back in 1989 except the point where the handle fits on is SMALLER and WORKS SO MUCH BETTER for different handle holes. I have a Westinghouse large flat pan (for Pancakes, Crepes, Grilled Cheese) with a fat end where the hole is...Shame on Westinghouse for thinking we all need that FAT Handled end designed in such a way to barely be able to hang.

This is my 3rd Cooks Standard Single Bar Pot Rack. Every time I move, that's what I have to have. Unfortunately, it comes with the swivel hooks. Some people may prefer the swivel, but I find that it makes it more difficult to take the pan on and off the hook because it keeps turning around. Also, the pans never stay lined up properly on my rack. Every time I have bought fixed hooks as a replacement. I find them quite expensive, but very, very sturdy. My only complaint about them is that I wish they had some kind of locking mechanism so that you can't push them back up through the slot in the bar. When you're removing the pot, it tends to push the hook up. Because it is rigid, it starts to push it back through the slit in the bar. Other than that though, I love this rack and these hooks.

Recently purchased a second set of these hangers. I previously had gotten some of these and some of the similar, swivel hangers. I like these better. The swivel seems like potentially a nice feature. However, when you attempt to hang a pot, the hook often swivels away from you, which is an annoyance.These hooks are incredibly strong and have a nice finish. Although it's not stated, I would guess that one of these hooks could easily hold over a hundred pounds. I built my rack to accommodate these hooks. If you are using them with a store-bought rack, just be certain that the rack slats have at least a 7/16" spacing.

These hooks matched the original hooks on my 36 inch Cooks Kitchen pot rack/shelf purchased 16 years ago. They are a perfect match in size, shape, and quality. They are actually a little shorter than 4.25 inches which matches the older hooks I have. Packaging and shipping was just fine, no problems to report.

When I needed more hooks for my hanging pot rack I chose these and I am glad I did. They are super sturdy, which was important to me because my cookware is expensive and not lightweight.

These hooks are well designed and nicely made. I got the non-swivel version to ensure they are all facing the same way at all times, though the swivel version may work well depending on your use case. Should anyone want to make a hanger for the hooks, I found that the ideal width of the runner is 1 3/8" and the ideal width of the slot between the runners is 5/8". The design of the hooks allows for some deviation from these measurements, but I found they worked well for me.
