Alright so this needs to be relabeled. I always have bad luck on these things but at least now i know. But i guess this cable is considered a slimport. MHL is a different technology than SlimPort. So when i was installing this into my car receiver,that supports these types of connections to a smartphone, I finally connected my phone and it said my phone doesnt support SlimPort. A quick google search tells you what I found out. So i would say this is misleading and any other consumer who had a phone that supports both MHL and SlimPort wouldnt know the difference between what cable they received. So I say beware and make sure your phone or any other devices supports SlimPort. I bet this cable wouldve been great. The build quality is solid and not cheap feeling, but i have to dock it for its mislabeled compatibility. If i could rate the actual company then I would give them a 1 star. But because this product is so well made I cant help to review the actual product itself and hope for the company to continue making great cables like these. Just fix the labeling.P.S. I know they had a compatibility list but it was partial so I thought as long as it's MHL then this should work

Initially I got a cable that did not display but would charge using the USB cord. Customer service was great. They tried to investigate the issue but it was determined the cable may be bad. They sent a new cable right away and I received the new cable in a couple days that works as described. I have a Samsung Galaxy S8+ from Verizon and it mirrors the screen perfectly. I've seen some reviews that said you can't display on the screen and charge at the same time but I was able to. The problem that I've seen is that some TV have HDMI and USB ports and it's tempting to try to plug in the HDMI for display and the USB into the TV to draw power but I think it will try to use the USB to connect and thus not display from the USB. I used a separate USB power and was able to display from the HDMI and power my phone.

Mirrors my Galaxy S8 perfectly. The charging capability is a nice touch but also works without plugging into a power source. I could not ask for more.

It works with my Galaxy s8 but once I plug in the USB to charge phone while using hdmi, my phone continuously connects and disconnects, like a glitch. If the hdmi and USB are both plugged in before I plug it into my phone, it won't work at all. The only thing that works is the hdmi part and the charging part won't work at all. My phone is also brand new.

Both cords are way too short for use with a wall-mounted TV--roughly 12" to USB-C device and 30" to wall outlet (via USB adapter) beginning at HDMI port. My TV is mounted roughly 3 1/2 feet above the nearest power outlet and I don't have any wall-mounted shelves or support surfaces within a foot of the TV. An extension cord solved the former, but no amount of creativity could fully support the device, which just sort of dangles from the TV.None of that mattered in the end because the USB-C connection port is cheaply made. The connection is not secure enough to stream reliably.

Have not had long enough to say anything about durability. The cord is fantastic! I can watch whatever I want to. Just useing my phones connection. No cable or Internet bill. Love it wish I had found this sooner. No set up time just plug in and put tv on that hdmi port and watch what you want you tube, Amazon prime, Netflix. Going to try more sights later. Couldn't ask for better.

I needed a cord to plug into my Samsung Galaxy S7 into my projector. Works really well.

This cable let me connect my phone to my projector so we could watch a movie on our most recent campout. Love that it has a charging port so I didn't have to worry about my phone dying.
