Not stable, never felt safe on it and it was always wobbly. It finally gave in and I'm not near 400lbs.

This stool is perfect for working my raised beds and clearing beds, but you MUST BE CAREFUL TO FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS. I weigh 165 lb, but leaned too far forward and the stool buckled beneath me breaking hinges on one side. The stool must be carefully opened and placed on a level surface. You must sit carefully in center of seat. Instructions are to discard a damaged stool. I would not recommend standing on this stool. It is one thing to fall on your butt from a sitting position versus from a standing position.

I use this stool as a bench as a certified music practitioner when I work at the bedside providing live therapeutic music for hospital patients. It is easy to fold and hangs off my harp cart on a stroller hook. It is compact for storing and for transporting in my car with all my equipment. It also works well for when I need to get something off a high shelf. Handy for me because I am 5’1.I highly recommend this product.

I have one very similar to this that I’ve had for years and wanted to get another one.This did not disappoint! I love this! Nice and lightweight, very easy to open and close, plus it’s very sturdy. I actually ordered two more of these in different heights which is very convenient! I would highly recommend buying these. You’re going to wonder how you ever did without one! They’re great!!!

I am using in the yard (10 acres of desert) during watering, weeding, etc. I keep it on my cart when walking around so if I need a water break it's super handy! I have bad knees and hips so it's a life saver for breaks. Seat is not real big, but it does the job conveniently.

Stool is a little flimsy and leaves something to be desired as far as durability. And you can easily slip off it and fall. They should have put some kind of non slip padding on top of stool , but they Didn't. One good thing is , it folds flat for easy storage. But quality , Durability , and Safety is very Mediocre.
