After putting up with a cheap screen hair-catcher in my tub for about five years, I decided to look at other options -- and here was this beauty just waiting for me! I bought the gray because it was the least costly and honestly I'm not trying to make a statement with my choice of hair-catcher in my personal bathroom, but maybe that's just me. This lovely replacement is soft and smooth with a "grippy" bottom so it stays in place, and also it doesn't hurt my foot when I accidentally step on it. Cleans easily. Stores nicely. Oh - and it catches the hair while allowing the water to drain. So, it works for the purpose intended. Huge improvement over the old screen type (that I was probably supposed to use in a different type of drain anyway.) Sometimes a little splurge like this is just what the doctor ordered! Makes those "staycations" the new economy insists are the best thing for the checkbook a bit luxurious. I think it's built to last a lifetime so I don't feel compelled to buy another one at this time. Certainly recommend, though!

This product has just the perfect weight, is made of easy to clean silicone and stainless steel. Your tub water will easily go down the drain after your bath or shower. When you’re done, any hair is easily removed with a tissue or toilet paper and tossed. I love it! Works like a charm for my long hair.

I bought a new bathtub drain plug system, not realizing that this "step to stop" type has no hair filter. This soft silicon plastic screen solves the problem, but is larger and taller than I needed. It is 2 inches high, so there is a full inch above the drain plug of wasted extra space. It does seem to catch hair pretty well, but removing the hair from the edge of the device takes a minute longer than the old screen, which was a disk with holes flush with the bottom of the tub, and just needed a swipe of a kleenex to clean. This one needs to be picked up from the tub and wiped with a pinching motion all around the edge to get all the hair. I actually wish I had not changed the original lever and rod drain plug system, but what is done is done. However, I do agree that this new system, including the new tall plastic screen, is easy to operate, I simply step on the center of the volcano shaped screen, which crushes down easily to plug or unplug the tub with just a foot step, leaving the screen in place. And the color I chose matches my bathroom colors well. The top of the volcano is weighted with a shiny metal top so it will stay firmly in place. Once a month I do have to scrub it with an old toothbrush to get off a whitish film that develops on it (soap scum or hard water deposit, I presume) I have considered taking out the whole "step to stop" system, which would be easy to unscrew, and screw back the original chrome disk full of holes, leaving me with no drain plug at all, but It would be so sleek and easy to clean , as I rarely actually use the tub as a bathtub, only as a shower.

I've used several different brands and styles of these hair catchers, and this is one that I'll definitely be sticking with and re-ordering in the future!Water still drains through without issues and it stays in place just fine. It's also much easier to remove the hair from around it than some other brands I've tried.What I also like is that it doesn't have a metal base like some other versions. The area around the drain in my tub is oddly shaped and not perfectly flat, so I find that I usually have to trim the bases of these to make it sit around the drain without hair and water slipping underneath. It was very easy to do so with this model!

Water doesn’t drain as fast and I’m not sure that it’s catching all the hair. I need to use it more to know.

With two teenagers with long hair the shower drain is constantly clogged. This was a quick easy fix. Fits right over the current stopper and immediately gets to work. Has done a great job keeping hair from going down the drain. Price was good for what it does.

I was skeptical at first because I was worried that the product wouldn’t allow for quick enough drain flow, but I was wrong, I didn’t even notice any slowing at all. Heavy enough so that it stays in place without moving, and does what it’s supposed to do. Looks and feels well made. Also, I wanted something that looked somewhat stylish because I just got a new tub and shower installed, and even though it sounds silly, I wanted it to be cute, and it is. I got the lighter blue color and it’s a really pretty periwinkle.

I previously used a flat hair catcher in my walk-in shower, but when I moved to an apartment with a bathtub, it just didn’t work well. I’m really pleased with this taller hair catcher because it fits perfectly over the drain and leaves room for the bathtub outlet. I shed a lot of hair during showers, and this catcher grabs about 90% of it, making cleanup much easier. Highly recommend for anyone needing a reliable hair catcher for a tub!

As a drain cover, this product is stable, light weight, stays in place and is easy to clean. I use this cover when I dry shave and while it catches the longer beard hair, it lets the shorter moustache hair pass through. Consequently, I'm considering using a fine-mesh tea strainer - in conjunction with this device - to see if I can stop all the hair going down my drain. In terms of delivery, the product arrived early and customer service was prompt.
