Frango Recipe Changes
To CarolHall and others who noticed these aren't "real" Frango mints: Garret Brands obtained the Frango name in 2017. They've changed the package and the recipe, so they clearly did not respect the product much. However, in the midwest it was always sold in a bland flat standard candy box. At Macy's Northwest store in downtown Seattle you can still get original Frangos which are made for Macy sales by Seattle Chocolate (formerly made in-store); the rest of the country gets them made Gertrude Hawk Chocolates and those are just not the same; a few small kitchens specific to store locations are sold only in the single store and might or might not be following the original recipe. If you order Frango's online even from Macy's you get the inferior midwest version. The real thing is sold ONLY in-store in Seattle. You can recognize it because it still has the hexagon logo which the midwest package lacks. Garret Brands has claimed they will be providing the creamier melty Frangos in the near future because there has been a great demand, but so far (as of early 2019) they have not distributed the original.

Sugar free Frangos
My husband loved these 25 years ago. Now he is hypoglycemic and I bought him a box for Christmas and he said they are as tasty as the regular mint chocolate! I ended up ordering a box for two of my cousins and another box for my husband! Thank you!

Delicious
These were very good. The price is a little high, I thought, but I realize they are a specialty item. I thought the quantity was good. I would reiterate that eating too many at once will lead to gastro-intestinal distress (I got a little carried away due to the great flavor and petite size).

Great Diabetic Alternative!
I am from Seattle and grew up on the Frederick & Nelson version sold at Macy’s locally. But I had Frangos from Marshall Field and was aware of the recipe difference! Having said that, I do like both recipes but am partial to the Seattle version. As a diabetic, the sugar free version is actually very good. I will probably buy that most of the time as it gives me the taste of a Frango without the sugar! I would recommend it for diabetics especially!
