McNettGearAid Seam Grip +SIL 28gm Silicone Tent Sealant

I used around half of the tube, diluted with white spirit, to seam seal my silnylon 3f UL Lanshan Pro 2 and it did an excellent job of it. Diluting (around 1-to-1, to get a golden syrup / warm honey consistency) helps the sealer get into the stitching and prevents clumping of sealant so you get a very even application. Excellent results so very pleased.

Not much to say really, I've not been out in the rain after applying this but it was easy to apply and it seems to have dried in around 6 hours as stated in the instructions (I left it 10 hours just in case).I did what many others suggested and mixed it with (what we call in the UK) white spirit.Dries clear.I was hesitant about dusting it with talc after it had dried mo matter what the instructions said but it is ok afterwards, I just blew and gently wiped the excess away, good to go.

I initially got it to repair a zip attachment on my waterproof golf bag. I thought it was a glue , it's not its a sealant and once you get used to using it its fine . It is messy and slippery an drys over night so you will need to hold it in place with something like clamps or clips . I attached the rubber seal to my waste disposal lid successfully with this sealant. Quite expensive for the amount you get but it did the job.

Bought this sealant to seam seal my tent.There was just enough to do all the seams if you take your time and aren’t too generous.If you want to apply a more liberal application, then buy two tubes.Took about an hour for the tent.

Bought a Lanshan 2 man tent from Aliexpress.I had read that there were two tie out points that are not sealed when the tent ships so bought the silnet in advance.Put tent up in garden, left it up in the rain and it did leak at those points. Dried the tent off, and applied the Silnet using the enclosed brush. To ensure a seal, I applied it on both sides of the offending seams.Very easy to apply, went on smoothly. Left it for 24 hours to "cure" and took the tent camping last Friday. Perfect test as it ended up raining.No leaks from the sealed attachment points. Job well done.

Just about ½ hour to do this tent, an hour outside then left it indoors overnight to dry.Put itup again and sprayed with hose pipe, stayed dry inside.This tent used the whole tube.I would buy this product again.

Used to seal up my old leaky tent. Easy to apply to external seams when the tent is up, left it for a day to dry and it stopped the leaks. Great product, recommended

Guter Nahtabdichter für mein Lanshan 1 Pro Zelt aus Silnylon. Richtig angewendet hält es 100% dicht. Ich verdünne es gern mit 99% Isopropyl Alkohol in der Spritze, ist dann ergiebiger, kommt in jede noch so kleine Fuge bei viel weniger Materialverbrauch und nachdem der Alkohol verdampft ist hält es genauso dicht.

je cours régulièrement et j'ai acheté ce produit pour réparer le mesh de mes chaussures de running. le produit est irréprochable, j'ai réussi a bien réparer les déchirures. mon conseil serait d'essayer de superposer les deux extrémités déchirées un peu en Z et d'appliquer la colle par dessus. je n'ai pas fait cette opération sur une de mes chaussures et ça n'a pas tenu. en revanche la seconde ne s'est pas déchiré e pour l'instant et ça fait plus d'un mois a raison de 3 courses par semaines entre 8 et 16km. le produit est a conserver au congélateur !!

Lo compré para sellar las costuras de mi Lanshan I PRO, que venían sin llegar por estar siliconada a doble cara, o eso explican.Luego, al pinchar mi colchoneta de montaña, lo usé para sellarla y genial. Era una pequeña picada, pero que quedado muy bien, flexible y resistente. He seguido usando la colchoneta y ningún problema.La tienda de campaña no la he usado con lluvia, no sé si está bien sellada, espero que sí.
