This is just perfect as you make it as big or small as you need it for whatever you are making.

So far I have made 2 very dfifferent cakes using this tin - one an enriched dough, the other with eggs and traditional raising agents and apples. Both cooked well in the tin, the central hole helps heat get to the thickest part of the cake. The enriched dough cake came out easily from a very well buttered tin, in one impressive piece . The fruit cake broke up a bit on turning out, but I fitted it back together while warm. I think this was because the apple pieces were quite large and the cake texture was more fragile. I might also have needed to be much more generous in greasing the tin. The tin is a good design, I think one needs to be sure cake ingredients such as fruit or chocolate chips are not going to affect the texture too much. I will go on experimenting. The cake shape when turned out is lovely and looks festive even with very simple decoration.

The tray worked beautifully for cheese biscuits using the recipe provided. The recipe is written in German though. It worked less well for the Kipferl biscuits because it is not so easy to spread the dough into the mould and the biscuits turned out with uneven edges. It is less noticeable for cheese biscuits. All in all it works well enough.

This is a phantastic item for the kitchen. Guglhupf is a traditional cake we always used to bake on Sunday afternoons in Austria. It is easy to make and delicious to eat. The form is strong and indestructible and the shape is old fashioned and big. A wonderful piece of good quality feel good baking mould. I would recommend to anyone looking for something useful to have at home when considering to bake a simple cake. The cake Can be decorated in endless ways with chocolate or lemon icing. Or just dusted with icing sugar.

Although it's called a biscuit tray in fact it is quite simply an oven tray like any other - that will fit any size width oven. It is easy to pull the 'leaf' out to fit your oven width - and it's not only good quality but also value for money. This will be my second tray - still keeping my first one - brilliant !

Cakes stick to the curved parts of this product after baking, making it difficult to clean. However, after only a few times use, the coating began to deteriorate and fill, and the back of the product began to rust. It made me wonder how being coated with a material that deteriorates so quickly could have negative health effects.
