Contigo Clybourn Chill Stainless Steel FreeFlow Filter Water Bottle with AUTOSEAL, 24oz., Dark Ice

I have several Contigo water bottles and really like their Autoseal lid design. I prefer to tilt the bottle as opposed to sipping up through a straw. The push button release is easy to use for me and keeps water from spilling. The stainless steel bottle is the same as the other Contigo bottles keeping water cold for many hours. The Autoseal lid design is the same as well with the addition of a filter attachment mechanism in the lid. The filter is attached to the lid an extends a little less than half way down inside the bottle. This allows me to add ice on the bottom half as opposed to straw type filters which extend to the bottom of the bottle. The carbon filter is easy to clean/replace when needed. Water is slower coming through the filter than without one but that is to be expected.While I'm a fan of Contigo water bottles, there's always areas for improvement. As the filtered lid fits other Contigo bottles, it would have been nice to be able to just buy the filtered lid without having to buy another bottle too. Also, the imprinted metal ring on the bottom of the bottles is not the most stable and with even just the slightest dent, can be wobbly. I purchased some third party silicone bottle sleeves that cover the bottom and come up about an inch. These solve the stability issue and minor dents on the bottom. Contigo could at least include these with the bottle or offer them as an add-on when purchasing. They were only a few dollars extra.

Contigo arrived with “finish” defects…not enough cause American to return since the product will see good use in various environments.

My main purpose to choose this bottle (other than its stainless interior & handsome exterior) was when I need to refill at the club where I work out--Their water (tho says it's filtered, still ain't great).I am more of a guzzler than a sipper - I appreciate being able to simply take in a lot of water either during classes or taking my supplements (some of them are larger tablets). This lovely Contigo is stingy with output. Plus I don't like holding another button down to get small sips. Dang.During the hot days, I'll load it up with ice/cold water and keep it as a back-up if I power through my other main water bottles that work smoothly for me (but don't keep drinks cold).This is a really beautiful good-looking water bottle that provides a "filter" option for various tap-waters.In using the filter & its cage, you need to add water to the FILL LINE which is less than 24 oz.I find it easy to hold and the "lock" button does a great job in those accidental knock-over situations.The sipper-lid locks securely and the small top-carry handle locks down when not in use.I filled it with several ice cubes and tap-water "on cold" during this hot day and the water has stayed nice and cool several hours later.I'm giving it 3-Stars because of the "button-down/small sipper" design (for me) and its (current) pricey-price. I'll appreciate its other positives.

I didn’t like that I had to suck on a Brita bottle and change the mouthpieces every so often.This solves both of those since it’s a tilt it up to drink type of bottle and it maintains temperature too. No leaks either. Would’ve loved a bigger size but overall pretty happy with it.

The only reason I bought this was to keep water cool during car trips. But the bottle is so tall, and you have to tilt it at such an extreme angle to get water through the filter, that it hits the headliner of my car when I try to drink from it and I can't get anything out! It also blocks my whole face at that angle, making it very dangerous to use while driving.
