I finally got a great immersion blender! After trial and error with others, this is the keeper. I’ve also used the food processor and the blender accessories and it all works well. It is powerful and the pan shield for the blade is PERFECT! I have a set of Green+Life pans that I want to protect and that little shield attachment works like a charm. My new favorite kitchen gadget!

The media could not be loaded. I just purchased this KitchenAid Variable Speed Corded Hand Blender KHBV53 in matte black. I use this 1-2 times a week. I ordered this immersion blender because my old Cuisinart blender(s) just stopped working. I have had two of those that have broken over time. They both eventually shorted out and they began to smoke. Time to move on!I decided to try the KitchenAid model because of the excellent reviews and because there is only one button to push to blend. I also like the rubberized pan guard because I usually use this immersion blender to make creamy soups, and the enamel coated surfaces of my high-end pots could get scratched by exposed spinning metal blade. I like how easy it is to attach the blender to the motor and how easy it is to attach the pan guard. The unit goes together and comes apart quickly. What really surprised me is how quiet this blender is compared to the Cuisinart model. I think they are comparable in weight and size.Another cool feature is the measuring cup with lid. This makes it very easy to make smoothies and salad dressings, and to store them. The lid fits snuggly and makes the measuring cup useful. This was a well thought out package. I've had this for a while now. I still haven't used all the attachments, but it works great. It has plenty of power to blend - and I've used it quite a bit to make sauces or components to dishes. It doesn't show any signs of slowing down. The different attachments give it high versatility, even if I only really use it for one purpose at the moment.

I have never used an immersion blender before so I can't compare it to any other products, but this one exceeded my expectations. What surprised me was how easy it was to control. I was expecting it to be like a hand mixer that caused the contents of the bowl to go crazy, but there's no wobble to the blender and barely a disturbance to the contents of the bowl. The thing was intuitive to set up and use (I didn't use instructions). Just put it together, plug it in and press the button. It blended the contents nicely!

The item is GREAT. We have one and use it all the time. Makes quick work of making spaghetti Sause out of home grown tomatoes and spices. This one was purchased for a gift for friends.However, it came in the display box with a shipping label attached. The box slightly crushed sides, corners, and torn ends. Not really something you want to give as a gift. The shipping label hides almost one side of the boxPoor packaging and shipping!!! Shows that whoever shipped this absolutely didn't care. Went through USPS.

I ordered a different immersion blender first, and ended up returning it. This was my 2nd attempt, and it's the one! I use this when i travel to make protein shakes in my hotel room. What a game changer! it's quiet, had multiple speeds, easy to clean, lightweight, and JUST RIGHT.

It's better than the one I replaced. I had another KitchenAid hand blender for years, but it died. We use it every morning for blended beverages and frothing. The first one came with a lot of parts and attachments. This one does not work with those! I was hoping it would, but it does not.I do love the button on this one better; the other one wore out quickly and left a lot of the internal workings exposed. I also like how the speed is adjustable by pressure on the button. The last one had the speed adjustment dial on the top, and once the markings wore off, it was hard to know how someone had it set, and we would have accidental adjustment changes that led to minor blending disasters.I love the color. I am thrilled with how well it blends.
