Great overall quality for the price!!!!Medium size and relatively round shape are exactly what I was looking for. Loud enough without being earsplitting. Much smoother and rounder than most other pairs I have purchased on Amazon. Sizes of each pair are consistent as well (this is a must!). Cheap rope, but by no means bad.- 4 Other pairs I've tried from Amazon. none of them are as good except the cork ones.Cork Asalato by L'ATELIER DE O (great) - perfect for quiet practice, comes in two sizesKengoma Hemp Patica (good) - great size and rope. durable, but weak shaker sound and painfully loud click. a joy to play outside or with earplugs.Aslatua African Shaker by asalato (decent) - Not as good as hemp patica, but still decent for plastic. you can get a better pair for the same money.NINO plastic ball shakers by Harlekin (awful) - gigantic, heavy, cheap garbage in every wayAuthentic Asalatua by African Heart Project (awful) - Decent sound, non adjustable string (huge problem) and pairs are not the same size.

both have a nice sound and a fair size, but the first day the rope of the knot of the biggest kas kas melted ... the cord loosens every day.. but they look wonderful

I suppose the manufacturer has never tried it. It only fits the hand of a child.

Very pleased, good quality and a good sound. Will take to next drum circle.

The two units that I received were different lengths and one is far too short, the shakers won't even meet when wrapped around my fingers. The other one that is long enough only clicks on one side as the knot at the end stops the instrument from making a sound.

Was having so much fun with them learning how top play and then this happened to one of them...

I was a bit disappointed really.The rope has become loose and I keep loosing the seeds from inside.They are also too big.
