This review may sound weird but...
We have dry wood termites! They leave little pinholes in our wood siding that are just big enough to see. The difficulty is that if you cannot treat the termites, sooner or later you have to tent your house to kill them. The best way to control them is to inject termiticide into the little pinholes and let it kill the little wood-eating wretches. I know, some termiticide comes in a pressurized bottle with a little piece of hose that you can press up against the little hole. Take if from me, that is practically useless. It occurred to me that using a sturdy hypodermic needs we could stick it into the termite hole and inject termiticide so we ordered this. It worked perfectly right out of the box (using the thinnest needle provided)!Of course, that makes it unusable, even dangerous, for injecting flavorings into meat....unless your taste runs to insecticide! I know, we can clean it....but that does not seem enough to eliminate the risk. So - use it as a flavor enhancer for meat OR as an injector for insecticide...BUT NOT BOTH!

Works well but BEWARE SHARP!!!
Works very well. No complaints. But it’s EXTREMELY SHARP!! And I’m not talking about the needles. The opener at the top. Don’t have your fingers near it when opening and closing. It will slice you open quick. And make sure you gently push the needle in before pressing the injector down. Otherwise you got a mess happening because of the spray. And pull out gently too otherwise it’s gonna spew liquid. Just a friendly reminder.

Everything you need for injecting!!!
This set comes with three different needles with different numbers of "injecting" spots on each. On the larger needle, there are 5 or 6 holes on the barrel that really injects in a 360 degree fashion. I really like that but you can only use it on larger cuts since the needle is so large. the smaller ones work great for Pork Shoulders and Briskets.....The set includes extra O-Rings for the barrel and chamber which are great.......cleaning is easy........and the set works great. I do wish the juice chamber was a tad bit larger to accommodate more liquid in each injection but that's not enough of a gig for me to knock off a star. If you end up injecting a LOT of meat at a time, your hands will get tired for sure because this injector is sealed real tight so it doesn't leak at all. Could be a problem if you're using it all day long but I'm a backyard griller.

NOT BAD
The injector does the job. It's not an item that's easy to clean but I soak it for a while and then go back with brush to clean.

Defective design.
This injector seemed well made at first, but after only half a dozen uses, the end where the needle screws on simply fell out. It appears to have only been pressed into the cylinder as there are no threads on the piece that fell out or in the cylinder itself. There is nothing in the design to keep the piece from falling out. Either the unit I was shipped missed a manufacturing step, or the manufacturing step was not done properly. I am not happy. In spite of only using it a few times, I've had it too long to be able to return it. Buyer beware if you are thinking about buying this meat injector. I question the quality control (or lack of it) that is being done by Ofargo.

Exactly as advertised, very satisfied.
Exactly as advertised. I'd previously purchased a cheaper version that appeared to be the same. It was not; the big "many holes" needle hadn't a single hole, and arrived bent! This Ofargo injector is exactly what I was hoping for, and arrived with spare silicone o-ring gaskets. I already have a basting brush, but the small silicone baster was a decent inclusion, and I'll likely use it in future. Both the "many holes" needle and the single side-hole needle have worked great, injecting beef brisket and arm roast with no issues. The "many-holes" injector seems to inject a whole lot of product, but if that's what you need, then it works well. It was a bit much for me, and I'll use the single side-hole needle in the foreseeable future, for beef, pork, and chicken. I don't see myself using the standard syringe-type needle, but it arrived straight and without defects. This is the injector that I hoped I was buying when I ordered the cheap one. I should have ordered this version straightaway instead.

This is the injector you should buy - here’s why
These injectors always get mixed reviews because they are hard to clean, or harder to use or whatever. This one wasn’t any different. However, here is how I would break it down:Bought this right before Thanksgiving. Used it a couple times so far. Easy to use. The plunger pushes in easily and with different needle sizes, I haven’t had any issues with clogging up. For cleanup, the whole thing comes apart. Haven’t had any issues cleaning it and it comes with all the brushes and other things to clean it with. Let’s face it - these things are never a breeze to clean, so keeping it in perspective, this item is pretty darn good! All in all - 5 stars for sure. Best injector I have used yet ( after 15+ years of frying turkeys). Highly recommended!!
