Yes. You have to remove the metal outer case which has a bayonet fitting. This can be hard because of the vacuum caused by the water. Once the outer casing comes loose be careful because it is full of water. Then unscrew the old ceramic filter and screw the new one in. Take care when doing this because the thread on the ceramic filter is plastic and the one on the head unit is steel, so it is easy to cross thread.

Hi there - I think it would be sensible to double check with P&R unless you can see it is identical to the one you currently have. It’s tricky because there are Triflow cartridges which look identical but cost half the price 🙃 We just replaced the filters in both our taps - we have a P&R Metis three lever on our main kitchen sink and a two lever on the prep sink. We bought both taps at the same time (approx., 7 years ago) they both use this exact cartridge and have the same housing. These are our third set(s) in this house in 29 years. Changed due to kitchen refurbs never due to tap failure... We had one of the original ‘Triflow Concepts’ taps which I think was a P&R product then we had a Franke version - didn’t like the P& R designs in 2004. I seem to remember the Franke version used a Doulton cartridge and now we are back to P&R again but each tap has had a slightly different cartridge & cartridge housing design. We never replace ours as often as they recommend especially now we have two on the go but are always delighted at how much faster the flow is when we do 😆 Hope that helps 👍

Has anybody tried measuring the difference of the water quality in ppm of the filtered water vs the unfiltered water? thanks

I am assured that it does make a difference. I personally cant tell the difference between filtered and unfiltered water but my mother does assure me that it DOES make a difference,
