Thai Taste Green Curry Paste 1kg

This paste can be hard to find in my supermarket so I buy it in bulk off amazon. It makes a delicious well balanced Thai curry. I do add fresh ginger and garlic as well as a dash of fish sauce, lime juice and brown sugar to create a fresh Thai taste. Buy this and split it down into smaller amounts and freeze for future use.

Speedy delivery and great quality. Not very hot so personally I use a bit more per meal than normal to achieve the flavour I like.

The paste tastes great, and it’s vegan so no fish/shrimp etc, however having purchased a few times it just doesn’t keep, three tubs have gone moldy within a couple of weeks even though kept sealed in the fridge and it’s too much to get through quickly for us, such a waste.

Nice paste. A little hotter than others I've had and a tiny bit less in the way of other flavours but still a good buy for the price and enjoyable.

This is an excellent store cupboard staple and enables you to knock up a delicious curry in no time at all. Better than anything you'd get from a take away, much tastier and cheaper by a mile.

In my opinion this paste is too mild and too sweet. I carefully researched numerous green curry recipes using a paste as a starting point. Taking the common threads (and even the recipe on the bucket of this product) I noted that few of the recipes called for much added chilli and many of them called for some palm sugar. Therefore I did not add much extra chilli and I did add a little sugar. Net result, you get a pretty sweet and mild curry. The other flavours are good, but they really need to make a hotter version. I'm sure I am not the only curry lover that expects a green curry paste, that claims to be made from green chillies, to be reasonably hot.
