Waterman or Mont Blanc? Hmmmm.
I've had a Montblanc in my wallet sice 1990. Fell under my car seat once in a bank drive thru. Have a fit looking for it! Bought a Watermanut but loved it so it stays home on my open Bible on my coffee dining table. Med point blue to use for my Bible and the notebook. It's weighty, wide, sooth & comfy on my arthritic fingers. It's a really beautiful writing piece. But this pen replaced one that grew legs since I don't take it anywhere, I don't understand how it *poof* vanished! But this new pen arrived 1 day early. I'm soo thankful! Even the box is attractive. I enjoy fine quality pens (or sanitary purposes, I don't use general pens when I sign in at md office, etc, hence my wallet with a pen holder. I believe I prefer the Waterman v. Montblanc (which is more thin, less weighty and shorter), but it fits my wallet pen holder better (gave larger pen to my dad). The Waterman CARENE, what I also purchased, is slick heavier pen cigar shape that is better for my writing here in my home, more comfortable on my arthritic fingers. Definitely! Have so now I have this one for backup if ever needed to replace, as I just did, unaware other one I lost was the Carene. The Montblanc is substantially more expensive. There are less expensive thinner pens, but you'll thoroughly enjoy the movement and flow of the ink while holding the Waterman writing piece. A work of art. I definitely recommend it!🖊🖋

Very nice pen. On a par with Mont Blanc.

Beautiful pen at a reasonable cost
The pen has good ergonomics and fits well in the hand. Not too slim or too big. The hardware on the pen is a shiny platinum look. It is a nice departure from the usual gold tone. The pen feels substantial in the mechanics of deploying the ballpoint. Well made and most importantly, writes well. Would buy it again.

Nice size and weight in the hand; twist mechanism could/should have a better feel
Comparison review here. I wanted a very high quality black lacquer pen with chrome finish...but without paying a ridiculous amount for a pen. Figured I should be able to accomplish that for $60-80. I first bought the Parker Sonnet for $60. When it arrived, it was much thinner than I expected. It's a very nice pen. Solid feel, very nice finish. But due to the size, it feels and looks more like a pen for a woman. I decided to give it to my wife. I then went searching for a thicker pen that was at least as long as the Parker, and found this one.The Pros: Good size and good weight, and as such, nice feel in the hand. And I think it looks nice. Ink flow seems solid. But then again, I just got it, so I would hope so!The Cons: The twist mechanism feels, and sounds, kind of cheap. It's what I consider a little loose. By contrast, the Parker Sonnet has a dampening that makes the opening and closing firmer. Personally, I prefer Parker's twist mechanism to Waterman's. In fact, because of the solid twist mechanics, and maybe also the smaller/tighter dimensions - the Parker has a slightly more solid feel to it. I would probably rate this a 3.5 because of this, if there was another digit. The pros outweigh the cons. But for a $70+ pen, I would expect the twist mechanism to feel worth that price. And for me, this Waterman falls short of that.
