Handy little fly-fishing tool
Useful for holding tiny flies while threading line through the eyelet, and the bend is useful for fishing tag ends through loops when tying double surgeon's knots in tippet. Helps this old guy with bad eyesight when standing in a stream waving a fly rod.

Love it
This tiny little thing took a few minutes of practice to get my fingers to understand how to make the best use of it. My arthritis and aging eyes have made knot tying more of a challenge than I'd admit out loud. It was becoming enough that I really wasn't enjoying being on the river nearly like I always have. Now that I know how to utilize it, knot tying has become what it should be. I make the loops in whatever knot I'm tying large enough to accommodate this tiny tool, and use it to hold the working end/tag and pull it through.I also utilize this great addition to my vest to grab tiny flies from my boxes, and hold them while I get the tippet through. One tool to do multiple tasks and make the time on the river enjoyable again. Can't ask for more in my book.

Had to Return, but Getting Another
Hope I just had a bad one. Idea is great. Squeeze to open, closed by default. Used it on one outing, and found it great for both the fly attachment and removal process. Just grip a tiny nymph or midge, and I'm free to leave the tweezer hanging from my vest by section of old fly line. No more dropping tiny flies, and they're easier to get out of the fly box, too, without dislodging their tiny fly neighbors from their fly box home with my shaky sausages. Thing is, after one outing the tweezers were no longer closed by default, but had about 1-2 mm between the jaws, rendering them useless. Strength of their grip seemed to lessen over the day. So ordering another, hoping it's just a bad one I got, because otherwise a very useful thing.

Holds tight
Some reviews stated it had no holding power. If anything I have a problem squeezing it to open it.That’s due to arthritis.Otherwise it works great as a third hand.

Never knew I needed these until I got them.
I have these attached to a zinger and they get a lot of use on the water. They hold my flies, pull them out of the box, and put them back in. Nothing worse than mangling a size 24 Adams that took you an hour to tie because you were hopped up on the electric lettuce. These are like having an extra hand on the water, albeit a teeny, tiny Carnie-sized one with only a pointer and thumb like Lobster Boy. Like all the Dr.'s tools, this one is well made and is holding up well.

Truly a 3rd hand
Big fan of these forceps. They spring closed so you can clamp a little bug in there while you fiddle around with any of the millions of other things your hands do on the river. Wish I had these sooner.

Many uses, picking up bead heads might be the best!
OMG!!! I’ve had this tool forever, but long ago forgot the name. Didn’t think I’d ever find the name/manufacturer.Just today I’ve used it to hold two dozen plus beads to put on hooks, wrapped both Turkey and Goose biots and held quill for segmented bodies. I use it when I need a lighter touch than hackle pliers. Before writing this review I ordered a second one. This is a great tool for the fly tying desk.

Great idea, very poor manufacturing
The grip pressure isn’t strong enough when the tweezers hold an item (like a small midge hook). I can very easily shake the hook loose from the tweezers, item is also very easily moved around when touched rather than staying in place between the tweezer jaws(yes, I have released pressure on the tweezers handle after grabbing the item)
