My niece loves Barbie films and has now decided that this one is her favorite (when she gets the new one that of course will be her favorite. As always with Barbie films you get a nice family film.

Super-power Barbie in a battle for friendship.
We pre-ordered the DVD and it arrived this morning at which point it hasn't been off!. I have a couple of Barbie fanatics and it's true to say 'Barbie in Princess Power' is a hit. Barbie stars as Kara " a modern-day princess with an everyday life". After being kissed by a butterfly Kara gains super powers and transforms into 'Super Sparkle'. Unfortunately her cousin also transforms but she turns into 'Dark Sparkle' who is far from nice!. What follows is a play on the importance of friendship rather than rivalry. Everything is filmed in the usual super-bright Barbie colour scheme with lots of sugary sweet dialogue. Fans of Barbie will love this film especially if they have the Kara doll. There's a free pink super-power mask included with the DVD. The case includes DVD plus Ultraviolet. Barbie in Princess Power has a U certificate (very mild threat, comic slapstick violence) and is classified as G (fit for viewing by persons generally). The DVD has English subtitles but subtitles may vary during special feature content. Choking hazard warning due to small parts. We have a birthday girl with us today and she has been given the doll and DVD as a gift. She's delighted. I don't think any Barbie fan will be disappointed. Certainly keeps them occupied. Recommended.

I bought this as a gift, and the little girl absolutely loved it! It even comes with a free pink "superhero mask", which she wore through the entire DVD!
