Finally understand the disciples
I've never really cared much about the men who were with Jesus because to me they were just followers; except Judas of course, who either got in the way or didn't have faith. Never did I realise until now that they were a lot like me! This book has opened my eyes to these, I'll say, very ordinary men and their lives. I feel I'm reading the New Testament all over again with more awareness and insight than ever before. A great book. Thank you.

definitely recommend 🥳❤️
pleasant surprised by this book. It's heart warming to get to know the apostle as ordinary people like us, with personalities, fears, defects who in the arms of a Living God were transformed, changed, renew and used for His wonderful plan. Love the book

Fascinating Analysis of the 12 Disciples/Apostles of Jesus Christ
John MacArthur is one of the finest modern day Bible teachers and pastor of Grace Community Church, Sun Valley, California for over fifty years. His biography by Iain H Murray is fascinating. "Twelve Ordinary Men" is a must for all Christian households. That such men could have accomplished so much under the Lord's provision and tutelage is as much of a miracle as the feeding of the thousands etc. John MacArthur's book (he is a prolific author) opens the readers eyes to much important and fascinating information. The existence of so many fine modern day Bible teachers is testament to the continuance of miracles.

Not supermen just men, ordinary like you and me.
A revealing insight into the ordinary lives and characters of the Apostles. The discussion is securely anchored in scripture and focuses the reader on how each individual had a place in the Twelve and yet they are so much like us, called saved, taught and sent out using their own particular characters and skills and used by God to the greatest effect. Twelve men conquer the world for God. God takes the small gifts and multiplies them exponentially. So he can take you or I and use our weakness to such great ends, step up and be an apostle for this time.

Beautifully well written and inspirational
What a beautiful, well written book. Its meaningful and spiritual and heartwarming all while telling a true, captivating, engaging, delicate, and honest story. Easy to read and to get absorbed in. It's not just their story that is interesting but the meanings behind what they did and why, even relevant today. I truly relished in it, learned so much and would definitely recommend it!

It’s just the book for any spiritually serious person.
This is one of the most deepest literature I have ever come in contact with. John MacArthur is a most read. At first instance I rated the book in my mind low before reading it. Anyone desiring a serious walk with God and really want to know what it cost, the requirement and the humanity of the apostles most read this book.
