I don't actually know whether it actually did anything or not. I used it on myself and still got bitten but I was at a festival, there are tonnes of mosquitos.

Insect repellent
I still got eaten by Mosquitos but this could have been due to the amount of sweat that was caused by the heat in South Vietnam.
