Duralex 1029AB06/6 Picardie Water Glass without Filling Mark, 360ml, Pack of 6

My favourite glassware brand. Does notget scratched in the dishwasher.

Usual excellent Duralex product. Lovely elegant shape glasses although obviously robust. Thoroughly messed about over delivery though - I'm a Prime Customer ordering hundreds of items a year expecting delivery of same through the Amazon logistic network - I pay for that. Now Amazon have started inexplicably using Royal Mail for some deliveries, who obviously cannot deliver "today by 10pm" as stated by Amazon as they simply don't operate at that time! This is the third item in a week I've ordered which has missed it's delivery date - one of them a child's birthday present. Very annoyed and disappointed at this seemingly new development. What's going on Amazon?

Well, did I ever think I would be reviewing glasses on Amazon? No. But, after having had these for a year and a half (and another set for a year) I feel I have to.These glasses look nice and clean, and they don't cloud up like other glasses of similar style. They hold a fair volume of water (360ml) and have a wide enough opening at the top to dunk cookies! But the main reason I felt compelled to review these is because of their durability. They have left many jaws dropped. I managed to drop one off of a table onto my tiled kitchen floor. My heart skipped a beat. But for no reason - the glass simply bounced, then rolled around the floor, still intact. Phew! But this isn't an everyday scenario, just a testament to their durability. They are thick enough to give you confidence to firmly clink glasses, and when they do sometimes stick together when stacked, you can loosen them easily without worrying about glass shards going everywhere (you can prevent them from sticking by rotating the top glass slightly so the edges don't completely line up with the glass below).Overall, they are great glasses that will really last.

Personally I particularly like the 360ml glass, but they come in various sizes so you can pick exactly what you want. Good price. Stable, not too easily knocked over on the dinner table. They are sturdy, and are not dangerous even if they DO smash. Very resistant to thermal shock and accidental knocks. I recently discovered that they are GREAT for making tea with boiling water and a teabag straight into the glass. If, like me, you like your tea HOT you can skip the mug-heating phase (which is necessary to stop a chia mug cooling the tea). I have some Duralex 310ml stackable mugs on order already!

Versatile, good looking, easy to clean, perfect size. Those are reasons that cafes and restaurants all over the world use this glass (either the real Duralex, or imitations with the same pattern). The ridged sides make them easy to grip while wet, the rim is the right width for comfortable drinking, and they feel solid without being heavy.Oh, and they're pretty much invincible in a home setting. My two cats love to knock glasses and cups off tables. They usually break. These tumblers don't.Update: All six are still going strong, look good as new, and have withstood intense use for years and years. Outstanding!

One glass chipped around the rim on arrival so only 4 stars but overall very good glasses. We have had some for years and they've been excellent and was ordering more. Only one breakage from our original set and that was due to the cat knocking it off the bench onto a tiled floor...

Came well-packaged. Really nice chunky glasses with a smooth feel in the hand.Ordered the 12oz glasses. Amazon website has some confusion over the sizes.Actual measurements were D87 H121, whereas description said D94 H145 (turns out that these are actually the measurements for the 16oz glasses) Glasses hold 360ml to the brim, 260ml (1/2pt) when filled to a normal drinking level.Never mind, decided to keep them as they're perfect for drinking water, or splitting a pint of beer.

Excellent set of glasses, strong enough for everyday use (and have survived a drop or two) but timelessly stylish.
