Verso Cover for Kindle, Kindle Paperwhite and Kindle Touch, Versailles Damask

I have to admit I was in 2 minds about buying this based on the other reviews however I am 90% happy with the product which arrived very quickly. The feel is of good enough quality and it looks attractive in a traditionally designed way which is exactly what I was looking for.I have not had it long enough to be aware of any marks being left on the kindle from the 4 corner fixing straps that others have reported however I think I can cope with the eventuality of that given any resell value will be minimal anyway.So thE reason why I am not giving 5 stars is that1. It does not have a locking strap to keep the cover closed when not in use - a simple button / popper to keep it closed would be perfect; and2. It is a little bulky .. I am picking here but I think just 1cm smaller would make it less bulky.Would I buy again .. ProbAbly, if it had the closing strap.

Firstly to address a few concerns in other reviews on here;Have owned this bad boy for a month or so now and I have not had any of the horrible marks rubbing off onto the back of my kindle.secondly, Verso seem to have addressed this problem and when you actually open the product it seems as though there is already a thin piece of plastic they now include (or not sure people were taking this off- which I see no need to do!) which stops your kindle from making full contact with the back of the cover. Problem solved!There is also a cool little pocket on the inside of the cover, however problem is its very tight and thin and at best it seems as though you can only fit credit cards and thin pieces of paper in there nothing major, which is fine because I want my cover to be portable anyways.All in all at the price they sell this, this is a fantastic cover, I love getting it out and its very stylish. To those that complain it doesn't look like proper leather I can only presume want the world for nothing...same goes for the effects of the gold accents. Some of them are faded on mine but it doesn't detract from the look, in fact I feel it adds to the worn look & feel of a rich old school leather bound book, and so it seems to make sense to me that it looks like that.Grab yourself a great affordable and stylish cover people!

I bought my Dad a Kindle for his birthday and wanted a nice cover to go with it. He loves antique looking books so I thought this would be perfect! It has a leathery type feel (don't think it is leather) and the gold details almost seem embossed - really good quality and worth the slightly high price in my opinion. One thing that did annoy me a little was when we tried to put the case on the Kindle (its a Paperwhite) the elastics keeping it in place were difficult to stretch over the device - after a couple of tries it fit in perfectly though! My Dad absolutely loves it and says it is also protective as is stated in the description, so all in all I would recommend!

I have the red version of this cover and it's holding up well even after 2 years of constant use. It's really sturdy and protects my Kindle well, not to mention it looks stunning!I was a tad worried about the gold colouring when I first purchased the item, however the cover still looks like it did on the first day. The only downside is that there is no clasp, magnet, elastic etc. that would hold the two covers together securely, but I've had no problems with the covers flying open.Edit: a year later, the cover has started to flake and peel at the edges seemingly out of nowhere. It's still functional, but it doesn't look as nice any more!

I'm really happy with this cover.It is robust and seems to be durable - I'm confident that my Kindle is well protected in this cover. It also looks really good and when closed it looks like a posh notebook as opposed to a kindle cover so hopefully would be off putting to thieves!The only criticism that I have is that it's quite large - I have an original kindle and there is about 1 inch of cover all around the edge of my kindle (I imagine this product fits a few different sizes and perhaps that's why...) if it was a wee bit smaller it would be a bit more handbag friendly!

The case is sturdy enough to protect well the Kindle inside, the straps provide a firm grip so that it will not move at all. The design is nice, and the material feels soft to the hand.I have been using it for everyday commuting and for holiday travelling for a while now and the case still looks almost as new, so I am very satisfied with its performance.The only downside is that you are paying a high price for just an accessory to your Kindle. But, apart from this, which you already know about before buying, I would expect you should not have any complaints when the case arrives.

Bought this for my Kindle Paperwhite and am over the moon with this product. It looks and feels like and old book - extremely classy and protects my Paperwhite to perfection. I am not ashamed to pull my "electronic book" out of my purse in public and choose from my huge library ... I have to admit it took me a long time to change from real book to electronic book but space issues in my home concerning books have pushed me to make this decision. If shelves start to hang through due to the weight of the books on them you have to be drastic - and I will not give away all my books. So all the paperback books that I decide to buy new I buy on the Kindle !!! And with this cover these paperback books even look classier than they would have in real !!! Brilliant.

I treated myself to this cover when I purchased my Kindle, as it has a hard cover it really protects the kindle and looks like a real book when closed, It looks great, feels great and is comfortable to hold. You can fold it back on itself if you want to but I personally hold it like a conventional book. I have only used it at home as I don't travel around a lot and probably if you were putting in and out of a bag you might prefer to use a soft style pocket cover to slip it into.I think one of the cover's which has a clip to keep it closed could be annoying I know the one I have on my phone case get's in the way . I can certainly reccomend this product.
