WYBOT Osprey 300 Pro Cordless Robotic Pool Cleaner for In Ground Pools, Pool Vacuum Robot with Upgraded Triple-Motor, Intelligent Route Planning

This was purchased because the motorized cleaner attached to my in-ground pool’s intake hose did a poor job of covering more than 20% of the pool’s floor and it was taking a lot of my time to make the necessary adjustments each day to clean the pool floor—this included brushing all the dirt into the area the cleaner is happiest.This Wybot, on the other hand, is just ingenious: There are no motors on the wheels of the Wybot to move it about , which obviously reduces costs. Instead, the vacuum intake from the center bottom of the Wybot draws in the dirty water, and traps the dirt behind a screen. Then the cleaned water is forced out of one of two, gated portals (one center front, the other center back). That water being pushed out forces the robot to be propelled across the pool floor. It goes for 10-15 seconds, then the opposite side portal gets the outflow and the robot is pushed in the other direction. This will go on for 90 min to 2 hours, with the pathway completely random, but with the entire bottom of the pool cleaned in the time it takes to exhaust the battery.Just hoist out the vacuum by the handle floating on the pool surface, take the bottom off and rinse the (considerable) collected dirt from the tray, and connect the battery in the robot to power to recharge it.This feels like it would be great for an above ground pool since it doesn’t clean the rounded transitions between the pool floor and side walls. It is not sophisticated electronics, but it is surprisingly effective at a low cost. As long as you don’t expect Roomba-level logic in an underwater vacuum, you should be very happy with this.

Purchased in 2023 and no longer runs. The charger lights work as normal but will not turn on anymore. Very pricey for something that doesn't last for multiple seasons.

Update 9/12/2023: I am changing my star rating to 4 stars because of the outstanding customer service. After my first WYBOT quit working and I purchased a different one to replace it, the company reached out to me and gave me a $40 refund for the time and trouble of the first robot failure. I was very pleased with this because it made me feel the company was concerned with providing a quality product. The WYBOT 2023 continues to to a great job as of this writing. I'll post an update in the future to say if it has continued to preform. At this point I would recommend giving a Wybot robotic pool vacuum a try.Update: I purchased a WYBOT 2023 to replace the WYBOT Osprey when it quit working. The 2023 is working very well in my above ground pool. It cleans well and is pretty easy to manage when removing from the pool (the WYBOT Osprey 300 was very heavy). I have only used it twice at this point so I hope it keeps working and cleaning this well for a long time to come.This is the second robot pool vacuum I have tried. The first was the Aiper Segull SE. It cleaned well when it moved around the pool but the small wheels enabled it to get stuck easily. The WYBOT did not get stuck. It had good suction. It moved very quickly around the bottom of the pool so fast it didn't pick up everything but it did an OK job. It was very heavy to lift out of the pool when it was full of water. I would have kept this robot but it quit working after 3 weeks. I called and was told it was either the charger or the battery. I decided to return it since I'm not so sure another one would last any longer.

This is a great cleaning machine for your pool! Wybot’s Osprey 300 pro is a good choice for efficiency and price point! It does a great job of cleaning our 20000 gallon in-ground pool that has an incline from a depth of 6ft . At first I was nervous that it would not handle the incline, or the protection drain, but it’s literally like having an RC car without the controls. It’s a smart little powerful bot! It takes six hours to charge, it’s easy to set up, gives a full two hours runtime in the pool (when fully charged each time). Very easy to retrieve with a skim net pole to grab the floating ring connected to it, and super easy (and fast) to clean. Not sure how many charge cycles the battery has but manufacturer say it’s long lasting. It’s a great product so far and very happy how it collects debris such as small leaves, sand, grass, and pine seeds off the pool floor. Highly recommend this product!

I love this model it actually does a hundred and 20 mins run time and a little long when I timed it. It takes about 4 hours to charge that I don’t like. But it is what it is I still give it 4 stars . I like you can set it to turn or go straight cleans it too notch . I have another little robot that is good too but only 45 mins if that and 2 hours charge. All the clips broke to hold it together by the end of the season. This is easy to take apart clean and put together I’d recommend this model. Since I purchased in May Ive had it clean at least 10 runs. If your pool needs cleaning before guest arrive this is the one! Then you can do other things !
