Excellent Bellows to Reduce Retention on Baratza Encore ESP
I bought this bellows to reduce retention in my Baratza grinder, and it works exceptionally well. It fits perfectly on the coffee bean hopper, and the lid also fits without any issues. The material feels durable and well-made, so I expect it to last a long time. I consider this an excellent accessory for the Baratza Encore ESP. When grinding for espresso, retention can reach around 0.5 grams, but with this bellows, and using the RDT technique, it’s reduced almost completely. If you want more consistency and less coffee waste, this is a great addition to your setup.

Perfect - Perfectly clears my grind retention!
Even though this particular Aieve model is made for the Baratza Encore grinder, it works *perfectly* on my Capresso Infinity grinder (air-tight fit is important). Even though the groove in its bottom ring is just a few mm wider that would fit my Capresso hopper, the *inside* of the bottom ring just so happens to *perfectly* fit nice and snuggly over my Capresso hopper. It works fantastic. I love my Capresso grinder (which has amazing grind quality for an inexpensive grinder), but it does have a pretty significant amount of grind retention. I completely flushed out all previous grounds then tested my new Aieve Single Dose Hopper. I quickly pressed down 3-4 times right at the end of the grind. It completely flushed the retained grounds. I suggest pressing down sharply and releasing upward slowly 3-4 times just after your dose of beans finish grinding, while the grinder is still running. Releasing quickly on the upward strokes tends to pull a very tiny amount of fines and chaff up into the hopper, so I go down quickly and up slowly. I'm extremely pleased with this and that I'm no longer agonizing over upgrading to a much more expensive zero-retention grinder. Highly recommend for the Baratza Encore and the Capresso Infinity. I've also purchased Aieve's larger model (several color choices) for the built-in grinder on my new Breville Baratza Pro espresso machine. I got the gray one; cool looking; looks like it's made for it.

Perfect solution to Baratza Encore’s retention issue
The Baratza Encore is a beloved entry-level home coffee bean grinder. However, it’s primary issue is it retains some of your grind inside. It’s essentially a grounds gremlin. Yes, you could spray your beans with a small spritz of water to limit retention or clean it with the brush, but let’s be honest, not everyone wants to do this on a daily basis, and you shouldn’t have to. This is a clean, simple solution that fixes the need to do anything more than a couple pumps after you grind. It adds minimal bulk, feels surprisingly well made, and matches the aesthetic of the Encore as if Baratza has made it themselves. I’ve found that 99% of the time, I get exactly the same grams as what I put in. On occasion it’ll still retain about .1 grams—but that is common with nearly every grinder and is quite negligible. My advice for a future version of this product is to use a material that will collect less dust from coffee grinds and general room dust. As you can see in the photos it does collect a bit. Static tip for Encore: I’ve found that after you grind your beans, if you leave it in the container for ~20sec, it will eliminate nearly all static, and you won’t have to use any spritz of water on your beans before grinding.

Does Its Job!
Satisfied that this coffee hopper bellow does its job blowing/pushing the coffee grinds into the Baratza Virtuoso plastic cup. This leaves less grinds in the hopper, in the grinding burr, and leaving less grinds to make a mess when the cup is pulled out. The silicone sleave is not a very tight over the hopper which is expected since it is made of rubber. But does its job!

Only OK on Baratza Sette 30 Grainder
It fit OK on top of the Baratza hopper. Seal was OK. In use, it just did not seem to work that well. I would guess it was not the best use on top of the large hopper. I find just knocking on top of the hopper with my hand did a better job.

Item title is misleading - product description is acurate - product is good
The product title "single dose hopper" is misleading. You are not getting a single-dose sized hopper with attached bellows. You are getting a bellows to attach to the full-sized hopper that came with your grinder. If you read the product description, it states that it is a bellows to attach to your hopper. I am partially to blame for not fully reading the description; however, the manufacturer is also partially to blame for not providing a clearer product title. I would have titled it "Bellows Attachment" with a subtitle of "single dosing use". As for product quality. I am very happy. It fits perfectly with the hopper and hopper lid. I wish it would be a bit more secure, but I think they went with ease of attachment. (It would have to be harder to attach in order to make it more secure). It does its job well; it pushes grounds out that would otherwise be retained between and below the grind burrs.

Addresses the biggest flaw of the Encore. A must have.
The Baratza Encore is probably the best grinder you can buy for a sane price. But it has one critical flaw, it leaves a little coffee up inside it that then spills out at the worst times, Llike when removing the hopper, or leaving about 1-3 grams of a different grind setting to contaminate your next espresso shot will net you a bit of unwanted coffee spilling out, often all over your counter or even into the hopper slot forcing you to brush out the grinder. This simple bellows like thing-solves that. A few pushes and it blows out the grinds. Its an ingenious solution, its so useful Baratza should have incorporated it into the grinder design. It fits tight, its sturdy enough you can still still turn the hopper to adjust grind. The lid fits on an off nice enough. It goes poof and stands back up when you are done like silicone. And the price is good. It works. If you use an Encore grinder, you *need* this.

Funciona a la perfección. En mi caso tengo una Baratza encore esp y me ha ayudado a sacar toda la molienda y se no queden residuos dentro del molino.

Works perfectly with my grinder. Good fit, good bellows action to clear out residual fines from grinder.

We use our Baratza Encore ESP as a single shot grinder. We weigh our 14g of beans in each time. We noticed clumps would sometimes come out at the end. I purchased the bellows and was amazed, at the end of grinding we can get between 0.5-1g of coffee out by using the bellows. So hopefully no stale grinds sitting in the grinder. Did look at a single dose hopper but this option looks and works great. Ps doesn't fit well upside down!

Does exactly what it should do, and it’s affordable. It does however add 2 1/2 inches to the height of the grinder, which may be a problem for some .
