Beautiful volume with tasteful pictures
This is a fairly large book, so not one to pack for a trip but is beautifully and tastefully illustrated and would make a wonderful gift for anyone interested in the Bard. I had never read all the sonnets before - just the most famous ones, but the mix of pictures and text drew me in and i read it from cover to cover in the end. Well worth the money

Gorgeous
Absolutely gorgeous. I got it for a gift and she loved it. The illustrations are beautiful and it's a very good quality book. Worth the money! I definitely recommend this.

No Frills Bargain
The Dover Thrift edition of Shakespeare's sonnets contains all his sonnets with no adornment, no commentary, and no "translation". All it contains is the great man's words - what more do you need ? There is a very brief introduction and a short glossary of some word meanings, but nothing compared to the analysis and commentary you get in other editions. It is a slim book on fairly cheap paper - easy to carry about with you; and what do you expect for £1.25 ? I love it !

Great idea!
What can I say? If there are Shakespeare groupies out there then I am one. It is fantastic to have the sonnets in such a portable form as the printed editions are not something you would have in your pocket or handbag. I still like the paper books for on the settee but this gives instant access.

Great to own on a kindle
A collection of Shakespeare's sonnets on kindle. So easy to access and dip into whenever you have a few spare minutes. To re-read an old favourite or discover ones I had not read before. This collection cost me just 49p, and on kindle comes with me everywhere I travel.

My girlfriend loves the quality and material of this well put together book

You get what you pay for.
This rating is not judge of Shakespeare's writing, as I feel he has been reviewed so many times by this point, I don't feel have much more to add, instead I would judge this copy. I will admit, I bought this copy solely for the cheap price, but it does feel very cheap. The paper quality is poor, the layout, with multiple sonnets per page is rather disappointing.

Yes, there are more sonnets than "Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?", and yes, they mainly focus on love, life, and, in particular, the gradual aging that no one escapes. If you love English, you read Shakespeare.

I don’t usually leave reviews but I had to leave one on this purchase because I was absolutely stunned with the beauty of this book the details and the quality are outstanding and the fact that it’s Shakespeares poetry makes it even better I would definitely recommend anyone who is interested in literature to purchase this book
