Excellent book for neurosurgical beginners
I think this book is one of the best I read recently that simplifies neurosurgery for beginners. It is concised and directly hits the target. It gives a beginning neurosurgeon a quick yet very useful information about how to deal with a neurosurgical case in different aspects; emmergency cases, in theatre and in the ITU. A lot of useful basic neurosurgical information is discussed in this book that enables the beginners to practice SAFE neurosurgery. It is not very large book, so can be read and digested in a relatively short period of time. I strongly recommend it for any beginner neurosurgeon.

On the whole, a nice introduction
I bought this as a medical student interested in Neurosurgery in preparation for my elective. It gives a nice overview of how a unit works and some very basic information about common conditions and management. It is, unfortunately, by no means a pocket handbook as whilst it covers a lot of topics, this is only in passing. In summary, a nice introduction to some of what the specialty entails, but by no means a textbook.

A Useful Resource for Neuro Nurses
I have nursed in a neuro ITU for several years and find this handbook to be a concise and accessible resource. The book is small enough to have at hand and I am impressed with the range of information it packs in. The language is straightforward and the style very readable. All in all I recommend this guide to anyone nursing in this field.

Excellent Book - a must for SHO's and junior SpR's
An excellent concise book with the basics of neurosurgery for both SHO's and junior SpR's alike. Easily portable and covering a wide range of subjects from emergencies to theatres to ITU - effectively a concise and more portable version of Greenberg! A must have title.
