New Silver Color Marching Snare Drum 14"x 5.5"

Just orderd this for my son. And he love it.

Used for Mardi Gras Second Line event

Unlike most snare drums I've used in the past, this one does not have a built-in muffler. So it has a bit of a ring to it instead of a sharp sound. If you're like me, it means you will want to add an external muffler, or modify the drum to install an internal one. The drum head itself feels a little thin, so it will be interesting to see how well it holds up and I may end up replacing it with a thicker head. But the body feels like a solid drum. I needed to loosen the snares a little for it to have a true snare drum sound. UPDATE: I later added a muffler and changed the drum head to a traditional concert snare head, and it performs BEAUTIFULLY! A nice solid drum with a clean and vibrant sound.

My son loves his snare drum. He plays with a marching band and this allows him to practice more.
