If you're used to Southeast Asian or Indian curries this curry powder will disappoint you. It has curry flavor but in the end it lacks the slight "kick" that completes the flavor. I ended up having to buy a hot curry powder to mix to this. Best to just get the Indian brand curries if you want traditional Asian curries.

I am no connoisseur of curry and I realize that there are many ways to make it (pastes, powders, different colors), but for my personal tastes this curry powder delivers what, to me, is the perfect curry flavor, with just a touch of heat. And this one-pound container is just the right size to ensure that we don't have to buy it often, while at the same time not being such a large quantity that it gets stale. My only complaint is that the price on this product increased from $12 to $16 over the course of two years. But then, what hasn't, right? Hopefully, that trend will not continue.
