What is the difference between the "early detection" (purple box) and the regular (pink box)?

What's the difference between theses "early detection" tests and the older version? Both list they pick up 25miu.

How come this tear says first morning urine NOT recommended to use for testing , but all other example :clear blue says to use first morning urine?

Nicolette, Thank you for your inquiry. I cannot speak about competitor testing, but we do recommend first morning urine for hCG testing too . As a tip for early detection, first morning urine is the most concentrated to detect metabolized hCG in urine. This happens as soon as 4-7 days before missed period and one day or after missed period for optimal times to test for early pregnancy screening. A woman's hCG detection for pregnancy will not start to dramatically increase until 3-6 weeks after implantation occurs.
