I'm recuperating from major spinal surgery, and this seat has been a great help.It's simple, sturdy, and functional. I weigh 315 pounds, and it has been stable and solid. The side arms have supported me well in sitting and standing. The simple design is easy to clean. And as I have gotten stronger, it has been easy to adjust the seat lower, inch by inch.As a big man, (ahem) I have found it good to place a folded washcloth over the front metal bar, where the blue seat has an opening. We can just say that soft warm cloth is more comfortable to the touch than cold metal. 😉

Works well. I needed something higher because of nerve damage in my legs after surgery. I’m very happy with it and the fact that it’s easy to move to clean the toilet. The seat is uncomfortable so I pad it with old socks.

The toilet seat is larger than typical and made of solid material so it won't snap like plastic ones will under the weight of a large person. The metal frame is attractive and has no sharp edges or protrusions to trip the user. It's not entirely steady, but it's steadier than most. Install a grab bar on the wall to ensure stability.

Fabulous!!! I was able to put together myself, the seat is sturdy (my old one was thin) lightweight to pick up and easy for me to put together with great directions.

I purchased this to replace a similar seat that an elderly family member has been using. That one has a small, round opening which makes it hard to wipe. This one has a nice, large opening and is split at the front, so it does solve the problem I was trying to fix. My first hesitation when unboxing was that this seat has a grooved pattern molded into the plastic, which makes it harder to clean.We assembled the seat and thankfully I sat down on it to try before putting it into use. While the plastic is not any harder than a normal toilet seat, this seat is fairly uncomfortable, maybe because it is flat all the way across and not sloped inward. Worse, when I leaned forward as if to wipe my bottom, the seat rocked forward onto its two front legs. This is a real problem - I checked my family member's physical therapist and she agreed that it is not safe for us to use. The sides of the seat we currently use have a much wider base at the bottom than at the top to add stability; this one is only slightly wider at the base than the top.We are returning, and our search continues for the perfect seat...

First, this riser toilet seat was easy to put together. Next, it is compact enough to fit in a small bathroom. We have our on the first floor half bath, which is very small, and is needed after knee surgery. The wall to our toilet bowl is about 8 inches. The height on the seat is adjustable, which makes it perfect for a tall or short person.
