Firstly, as others have said, this detector comes with a useless documentation based on IKEA-like pictograms. You may find the old Friedland detector instructions on the web which may help you a bit more. Secondly, the detector is overly sensitive to sun light and temperature changes. It can only be used on a north facing wall away from dogs and cats. If you tried to follow the pictographic instructions, you may end up with a sensor that works during daylight. For notification this may be exactly what you wanted, but the security aspect may not be served. The internal switch should be on the sun (day-active) and the external dial (A) towards the sunny side. The instruction suggest that turning the dial towards the moon will extend operation into twilight. Mine didn't. For the use case at day and night, I would suggest to move the internal switch to the moon (night-active) and set dial (A) at sun which extend the night operation towards daylight. As a nice side effect, the internal LED started working and indicates movement. I am not sure if the other dial (B) is of any use. I thought it may create a delay between subsequent activation, which comes from its original meaning to keep an attached security light on for the set time. I did not follow this up and the instructions meant to leave is at min. In summary, this is a poor device which barely works but it may just do what you wanted it to do. Finally, there is still the possibility that mine was broken in which case ignore anything I said.

I was in two minds about returning this. I bought a 9 series doorbell and this seemed a good accessory to have with it. The problem is you cannot turn it off. If I am working in the front garden or cleaning the car it would be constantly ringing the bell in the house. I am going to try fitting the blinds supplied to try and stop it. The only other option seems to be to turn down the volume to minimum. Also Honeywell should be totally ashamed of the so called instructions that came with this and the doorbell. They are total rubbish. Going on line isn't much better but the videos help the most. Assuming you have a computer you may be OK.

Fonctionne sans problème avec un carillon sans fil et un autre enfichable situés 20m à travers des murs épais (utilisé occasionnellement a 40m avec le sans fil). L'appairage avec les carillons est un peu laborieux mais ça fonctionne. Il surveille une entree de 6m. Il peut detecter les chats qui passent et quand grand soleil et passage de nuaged marquant une grosse différence alternant le chaud et le froid : cela peu declencher une détection, alors régler la sensibilite si trop frequent et veiller a eviter le soleil directe. De mon côté la sensibilite est restée au max . J en possède un autre depuis 3 ou 4 ans dont je suis content d où ce nouvel achat pour couvrir une autre zone. Pas de problème de durée de piles comme vu sur certains avis (plusieurs mois malgré des passages très reguliers).

Hänger sig och ger då ständig signal tills batteriet är slut. Har hänt ett antal gånger under de fyra månader som jag använt den trådlösa sensorn. Batteribyten blir dyrt och irriterande med ständigt pinglande. Hittar ingen info om garanti och möjlighet att få den utbytt på Amazon.
