Great coffee!
I recently purchased a Cuisinart 'Keurig' single serve machine. I'm brand new to the world of single serve coffee makers. I did lots of research and finally decided to take the leap. One concern I had was whether the coffee would measure up (if the coffee isn't any good, what's the point then???).While at my local Costco, I saw the San Francisco Bay brand of coffee and was interested in trying it, but not buying it in bulk to begin (it would be terrible to have 149 cups that I didn't like). I had heard about their unique cup design and how it offered much less waste than a traditional k-cup, so I was intrigued. I searched on Amazon and found these decaf cups. In the past I've tried various brands and styles of decaf with varying degrees or satisfaction (or, more truthfully, dissatisfaction). I often crave a single cup of coffee in the cold evenings, but don't wish to lay awake all night as a result. The Cuisinart machine plus these k-cups seemed to be the answer, but there was still the question of 'the coffee'.Amazon had these at a good price so I decided to give it a go. I'll admit that I didn't read the box to start, so I ended up brewing a 12-ounce cup. It was okay, but seemed a little lacking. I initially chalked that up to this being decaf. Then I took a second to read the box and realized these cups are recommend for 8-ounce minimum servings! I tried another cup at 10-ounces (8-ounces seems like so little to me) and it was much, much better. I'm sure the 8-ounce serving is very strong and flavorful, but I found that 10-ounces works just fine for me, and I've always preferred a bold, robust and strong black coffee. So, if you've tried this and found it to be 'weak', maybe try a smaller brew strength before getting mad. If that doesn't help, I guess you're out of luck. All in all, I found this coffee to be not only good as a k-cup single serving, but also as decaf! As I mentioned above, finding a decent cup of decaf is hard enough, so finding one that's affordable -and- single serve was a homerun.

Favorite coffee pods
San Francisco Bay French Roast and Haight Ashbury are great coffee pods if you like dark coffee. The coffee is stronger and tastier than other pods I've tried.

Peet's coffee has finally met it's match (well Keurig style anyway)
I love my Peet's and was facing a dilemma when dragged kicking and screaming into the Keurig revolution. I settled on using the reusable baskets to keep using what I considered the only drinkable coffee I could buy in a reasonable bulk while living overseas. Finally Peet's caved and got the single use plastics...and I caved to convenience and bought them. Still got my good coffee but hated I was starting to add to the landfills. Convenience vs. conscience.Well, I read about these on some random Amazon message board and I decided to give them a try. I am NOT fond of most readily purchased coffee and I did not have high hopes. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised! The French roast is ALMOST as good as Peet's (as in 99%) and by putting them in the 97% recycle type not-cup, they win. Big win. I can still use my basket and get the Peet's I want that are the special varieties, but for my daily quick brew I can now have yummy coffee, quick coffee, and lose the guilt (well, I'm stuck with 3% guilt, but even the reusable baskets have to get thrown away eventually!).The design of these are such that I personally found it sensible to place all the not-cups into a sealable container once I opened the not-plastic liner....it seems like a good idea to maintain freshness. In any case, I am going to try their other varieties as well, but the French Roast has made me one happy camper!JTG (not the real JTG, she sensibly did not drink coffee...naughty XTG on the other hand has been caught trying to lap out of the coffee mug. Caffeine type products are NOT good for dogs and we have to be careful).

My only complaint with SF Bay
I have been a long-time, satisfied customer but this last box suffered from subpar pods. The paper top of the pods split open spilling coffee grounds into the awaiting cup. This occurred numerous times, each occurence requiring cleanup before brewing the next cup. My sig other wants to return to pot coffee while I try to convince her this is just an anomaly. Has anyone else dealt with defective pods?

New favorite!
Nice mild hazelnut flavor, not acidic or bitter. Can drink this coffee black but have added a little hazelnut creamer for extra flavor. Love the compostable pods.I did not have any trouble with pods leaking or breaking like some other reviews mentioned.I have purchased again and will be adding to my monthly subscription.
