Please Don't Feed the Bears!: A Vegan Cookbook (Vegan Cooking) Paperback – December 1, 2008

I really enjoyed reading through this book. I have only made a couple of things and they have turned out really good. This is not a book for those of you who want pictures and gloss. It's a paperback, black and white. Even a bit of cursing so don't give it as a gift to a little kid.It's got some great vegan cooking tips. Some familiar and not familiar recipes. I love how the recipes are named. It's a no frills down to business vegan cookbook and humorous read.

Quirky yet useful little book. However, if I were to listen to the suggested listening-while-cooking music, I would need a bartender's guide, not a cookbook.

The recipes make great food, but the edgy alternative text is overbearing and causes interference. Just start cooking, take a pen to rename recipes, and enjoy. The best part is this is INEXPENSIVE and GOOD TASTING vegan eating. Way to go. Next time, keep the "I'm a rocker from hell" notes out of the way.

Cvlt. Brvtal. Grvmm. You couldn't have pulled more black metal recipes of the back of De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas (luckily, most of these recipes don't contain brain matter or skull fragments). This book shreds like Cryptopsy before Lord Worm left, and I'm pretty sure Karl Sanders offers up the Nilla Wafers to Set as sacrifice. I highly recommend this, but who cares what I think, Ihsahn wants you to buy this book, and that's what matters.

Fun, hysterical book. Easy comfort food for vegans with a heavy metal soundtrack if you want it. Great philosophical musings too. Would have loved an index but the book is for anarchists so I guess they don't believe in indices(?) Highly recommend anyway.

Yes this cookbook is AWESOME!I make their recipe for "Chinese take-out" all the time and my omni husband loves it.It is a great book. Buy it now.

As a non-cooking vegan I bought this book to be able to learn how to make vegan food. It did not help me at all. I truly have no idea how to cook so this was WAY to advanced for me. I don't know what is an herb or what was a vegetable so I had no idea where to look in the grocery store for the stuff. So if you don't know how to cook don't buy this book. If you do know how though it's a cool book.

This cookbook is not only awesome for it's great vegan recipes, but also for the stellar music selections that go along with each recipe. If you're into black metal, doom, sludge, crust, drone, and the like, then this cookbook is for you.

This is an interesting vegan recipe book. It's American though, so sadly for us British people there are certain things in the ingredients that will leave you thinking "what the hell???". But apart from that it's a great little book. Full of decent recipes with a lot of style and personality thrown in. There's also a section at the back that tells you how to do random things like tattoo yourself. Not sure if I'd recommend trying that though.

I love this book. I have dozens of Vegan cook books, most are total rubbish. This one is fun, funny, exciting and actually delivers good, yummy, easy to prepare, interesting food.No naff, over the top recipes and silly fancy photos. Just good cookin'!!I am buying a second copy because my other one got so worn out and covered in food!!

I bought this book for my sister for Christmas as she recently became a vegan and wasn't sure what to cook for herself, she tells me that the book has been very helpful.

I freaking love this cookbook. So quirky and fun, so affordable, and also so yummy!

im a silly person and it has silly recipe names. the recipes are lush hiwver i dint like the gumbo not sure why.. absinthe recipe in this book i cant wait to try
